Jesus Christ. The stadium has fallen into disrepair under their stewardship. They get out of paying the maintenance costs wherever possible, primarily by simply not maintaining it. They agreed to buy the SMC which they knew was responsible for he stadium's upkeep, no one forced them to buy it. Despite this, they somehow got away with taking over the arena for their own private use despite not paying for it. Meanwhile they're bleeding the club dry to buy yachts and Lambos. And we're supposed to be sympathetic that the poor souls are lumbered with this arrangement. There is one simple solution of course, to free them of their terrible plight. They could **** the **** off.
Money can always be found when there is a will to do so. Look how we all queued overnight for Wembley tickets the first time we went then a couple of years later we couldn't fill our allocation with the high cost being given as one of the excuses for not doing so. The cost didn't come into it the first time we went because there was a willingness to go/attend/be there etc etc. The report suggests that the donation to Milliband was to have some influence over a pending planning application. Perhaps they don't see any mileage in meeting the costs of this cup final and saving the ERFA the expense ? Let one free cup final take place and the door is then kicked open for all the others, football and rugby ( of which there are many) Not defending them, just seeing it as it is. Me ? The stadium just isn't maintained. Considering its age it looks awful. It's very obvious that only the most basic upkeep required to keep it legal is spent on it. These are the guys that tried to argue that the groundsmen were spending too much on products for looking after the grass.
The Allams have done to City what they do in their business world. Strip as much off it as possible and just leave the Bare bones.
