**** that. I played 3wks after breaking my arm despite not having a pot on (had plates), a bit of aching won't stop me
Not played football for about 8 weeks since I broke my wrist. First time playing will be next week, can’t wait to get back out there and play.
Not played football in about 3 years. AstroTurf has knackered my knees. Doubt I'll play again. / Future RHC surgery procedures no doubt. Only from playing on AstroTurf not from falling down stairs drunk.
I would have when had cast but I couldn’t drive so I couldn’t. Now I have cast of for 2 weeks I can drive but not been able to play! feels good now though, got like 90% movement back and doesn’t hurt so gonna give it a go. Just not in goal for a while
Forgot about not being allowed to drive. I was capable of driving, just wasn't allowed too. I obviously shouldn't have played as soon as I did. Nearly caused more damage as well as a smacked my arm on the outer brick wall whilst being challenged. Lost my cool a bit and a couple of lads were brilliant in rightly calming me down. Wasn't anyone else's fault, I just reacted after being hurt #**** I've said for years that I was stupid to play on my ankle so soon too. Was advised not to play for three months but went back after three weeks. Suffered quite badly for about seven years in the end. Still hurts now if I catch it wrong.
Yeah I couldn’t use gear stick so wasn’t even capable until like last week of having my cast, but even then insurance wouldn’t be covered with cast and no point risking 2 hours driving uninsured to work and back every day. They said to me 3 months before any contact sport but think it’s healed a lot quicker and it’s only 5 a side. 1 is friendly, 1 is league so will see how friendly game goes before jump back into competitive.
The cast was causing me problems so because I had plates in my arm, they just took it off. Only had it on for ten days after the operation, but also took them four to get around to doing the operation. So out was only 2wks that I wasn't allowed too drive for. I was told not to do any contact supports for 4-6wks. I opted for friendly games first too.
2 separate casts totally 6 weeks. Worse 6 weeks, so hard not being able to use that hand day to day or get it wet in shower etc
Was making small talk with someone at a meeting today and we got talking about making investments. This guy says him and his wife decided they wanted a picture for their lounge wall and instead of getting a print they decided to buy some original art. They looked at various artworks before plumping for a large oil painting by Rolf Harris. He agreed it was not the investment they had hoped for. I tried to cheer him up by saying "Hitler was not that nice a bloke either, but his paintings still sell for reasonable amounts" I followed this up with " It could have been worse you could have bought a Jimmy Saville tracksuit". Luckily his company need our services, but I suspect he may not direct many cases to me in the future
and he never killed anyone either. Just fails to have the right wing dickhead following that Hitler has which keep the value of Hitler paintings going up
Don't have to be a far right nut. I think it would be pretty interesting in a dark way to own a painting by Hitler.
He was a better dictator than artist, too be honest. This is one of his please log in to view this image
He never really got to grips with perspective as shown in the picture below. This made him very angry, so he invaded Poland please log in to view this image
