Looking forward to being back inside the Valley with a 20,000 plus crowd tonight. Amazing to think that barely three months ago some of us witnessed a 5,500 home attendance v Fleetwood. The North Upper has just about sold out I hear, with the North Lower not far behind.
The next 3 games (hopefully) will decide whether next season’s crowds build on this enthusiasm - we can easily average 20,000 in the Championship with a half decent owner.

It does depend on the football.

Time for a positive attitude from the team if we get promoted. Not much point getting into the Championship just to 'consolidate' (avoid dropping back out again). We have to look up and aim for the Prem. Try to win every game we play and see where it takes us.

And if we do reach the Promised Land again, try to win that too.
After Leicester City won the Premier League I posted on CL that I thought Charlton could be Premier League Champions in 10 years or less with the right combination of ownership and management. It go plenty of laughs, which was OK. But I meant it.

    Eight years to go...

    Elfs,

I'm not saying that you are out of touch about Charlton-related matters, but Andy Nelson is no longer our manager :emoticon-0136-giggl

Just got inside the Valley, 15 minutes to kick off. Not very many inside the ground yet (maybe 6,000) but huge crowds still outside. The closed block in the lower west is open again, closed section of the east block still closed.

only about 300 away fans in so far, if that many.

    Cracking first half.
We were full of energy and commitment, Shrews movement and awareness on the break is impressive.
One minute of first half stoppage time was a joke. Their keeper wasted at least four minutes just taking goal kicks

Home fans - I would say about 18,000 real people.
Maybe 850 or 900 Shrews supporters.
Fantastic atmosphere at the beginning, quietened just a bit in the last 15 minutes.

Everything still to play for. I still think we can win this game but probably by only one goal.

Watching in an Irish bar in Rome, the amount of people walking in the room expecting the Utd game and the consequent disappointment on their face is fantastic
