The only person I've heard or seen mention such a scenario is you.. So my assumption is you've got 50p riding on it at the bookies and trying to talk it up. Cannot see him wanting to come here as I'm sure he'd have better offers this summer if Derby were to offload him.. He'll be too used to having a few quid to spend, which he simply wouldn't have if he came here
Not so sure about Rowett, when he was sacked from Birmingham I would have snapped him up, because he felt like a younger fresher McCarthy, and it would be a refresh without revolution but I'm not sure that's what we need any more.
Rowett's done three jobs in football, and done all of them incredibly well. From a style of play point of view, he's a slightly more pleasant McCarthy. Certainly doesn't try to play sexy footy whatsoever however very effective and would have him here in a heartbeat. ' On 9 January 2018, with Derby occupying an automatic promotion position – second in the table – and Rowett linked with the managerial vacancy at Stoke City, he signed an improved contract, extending his stay as Derby's manager until 2021 ' Nah back to my original, not a chance in hell.
On the basis we won't pay 1p for transfers i just find it comedy gold for someone to feel we'd pay Direby out three years for Rowett. Still, you never know it's a funny world indeed - I for one would be all over him coming and very pleased just don't see it. Who do peoples gut instinct tell them it will be? I'm quite convinced it's someone in employment and if someone put a gun to my head - I think it'll end up being Paul Hirst.
None of the advertised candidates are particularly exciting prospects. Just bored of the whole beauty contest thing now.
Honest 'arry has announced he wants another shot at management,no thanks Marcus! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44109670
Weighty... With Derby have been knocked out of the play offs, are you predicting Rowett being sacked in the next couple of days?
This is getting stupid now!! http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich...rayson-regarding-managerial-vacancy-1-5518950
If he voluntarily leaves, he's going to immediately forfeit the remainder of his contract. He's got three years left on it, and Derby aren't shy at spending decent ££££. I would be absolutely for that reason gobsmacked if he simply walks away from that - as if he's sacked, he's entitled to the rest of his deal. We'll ultimately see. Seems it's a Ross v Hurst showdown - perhaps we're going to wait until Shrewsbury's play off final with * researches - ahhhh that's why I don't know it, Rotherham play Scunthorpe tonight!
If he leaves and walks into a four year contract on better terms then he has lost nothing. I’m hoping for Ross tbh.
Us paying better terms than Derby County!?!??!? No one is just going to walk away and say ' nah boys don't worry about compo or anything you're alright, keep a mill etc..... no skin off my nose ' Mind you - IF - he were to leave Derby and come to us, then get sacked, we'd have a very cheap contract our end as he'd already be getting a tonne off them...........
To be honest....I think we pay our managers very well.....which is why they are happy to take all the stick and never criticise Evans. Why would someone need ‘compo’ for leaving one job and taking up another?. The infomation I heard was a couple of weeks ago and a lot can change in that time, I’m sure you can understand I just shared what I heard I took it at face value.
