Thank **** I'm not the only one who's happy they stayed up. Their season reminds me of our first foray into the PL.

I've totally lost interest in City. I think I'll be cancelling my membership- no interest in the inevitable car crash of a season next year. Adkins couldn't be any less inspirational than a freshly laid turd. Totally bored with it.

    Well done Huddersfield.

As one or two more enlightened posters have already stated, very reminiscent of our first season in the Premier League, when the owners, the manager, the players and supporters were all together as one.

Unlike the ****ing shambles currently in place.

Agreed. Plus they may have helped prevent Chelsea stay out of the top 4. Good on you 'Udders.

Maybe time has eroded my memories of our season 1 in the PL, but I don’t recall it being one of unity.

As far as I recall, everything was hunk versus dory until we stopped winning.

Then, there was a mass call for Brown to be sacked, mainly by the types who also bent over arsewards for Allam and his Hull Tigers – but now are the most vocal (online of course) about their distaste – especially since the ‘quality football’ ceased.

Brown 'lost' the team at Man City, he had a 'naughty step', he was shagging ...

When we actually stayed up, the forums were littered with us 'Villa saving us', rather than us acquiring the necessary points over a season.

It was only five months after then that the chairman, Duffen, left – again – to a seemingly good riddance.

So, no, in my memory I can’t say that it reminds me of ‘us’ at all.

We got a draw at CFC in 2009 and got Scolari the boot.

At least we didn't have that dreadful Continental style players holding hands and talking a collective curtain call after a good result.

Perhaps Wagner may yet emulate PB after the Arsenal game on Sat and treat the crowd to his rendition of 'Eidelweiss'.

    Unlikely, he's not Austrian.

If he's got any sense, he'll go with 99 Luftballons.

For the record, Phil Brown was not a Septic.
