i hadn’t realised until just now that Wilbs scored the goal that kept Bolton up on Sunday. Scored with a header in the 88th minute. Great pro. Looking back at the second half of our season we probably could have done with him - the wily old fox knows where the goal is!!
Scoring goals didn't tend to be our problem - conceding far too many was. I was happy enough with Wilbs being a back-up option, but wasn't upset when he moved on.
This is the bit that most forget, scoring has not been the issue it’s conceeding. Which funny enough consist of a back four containing two players that most don’t want to lose.
looking back it was stupid to get rid of, could have been a useful player within the club with youngsters etc and for us when short !
