That video shows that they might support the same political party but they are oceans apart in terms of ideology. Owen Jones wants to silence everybody. Pie wants discussion. Jones is an authoritarian whereas Pie (the actual actor not the character) is a left leaning liberal.

Jones isn't naive at all. He is a businessman with himself being the product. He changes his views all the time when its a personal money winner.

As for him becoming a politician . In these days of trial by media / social media. He would fit right in. He is totally perfect for that side of things because he will state things without any research. He will challenge anything he thinks he can get a following for and there are plenty of molehills out there for him to exaggerate.

Quite the opposite to Corbyn who I actually think is pretty sincere and has good intentions. Just has the wrong policies on certain things. Jones is not sincere and only has intentions to make his own life better.

What a shockingly poor decision. It is driven by his decision to dismantle anything with Obama's name on it. He's driven by an ugly and deep-seated envy of his predecessor.

He assumes that what works in his business (shout, threaten and bully your way to the deal you want) works in international diplomacy so Iran will be back to beg for a worse deal. They won't

    This is a top post.

Whether it be the US problem with "normal" folks doing mass shootings or in the UK stabbing or acid attacks where we can't restrict anything else because you can;t buy anything without filling in a massive amount of forms. There has got to be a time when our ruling classes step back and start to think "This is a people problem."

When did these mass shootings start in the US? When did stabbings and acid attacks become so common in the UK? These are relatively new phenomena. This has got to be down to a cultural change!!!! It isn;t Russia telling people to do this but something is obviously influencing people to do these things.

What about Chuka? He has a lot of attributes- He is charming, intelligent, good-looking, has positive ideas that should appeal to the wider electorate and has an abundance of common and practical sense.

I can see your Pov Imp. But Lincoln and many other places voted Labour when Blair was leader, now with Corbyn as leader the same, so why not when Chuka is leader (theoretica)? Is it his skin color? If so, it shows how pathetic people are.

    as

They voted Blair the same as the rest of the country did because the Tories were a mess and Blair "seemed" a good alternative.

Lincoln narrowly voted in Labour this time round because whatever proportion of the 15,000 Uni students we have here who will not be in Lincoln in 1,2,3 years swayed the vote!!! So us who live here permanently now have our MP decided by people passing through.

Chuka's skin colour has nothing to do with it. The slime he oozes has a lot to do with it.

Whereas in truth it doesn't even work in his business. How many times has he fallen on his arse only to be bailed out because his creditors couldn't afford to let him get wiped out?

As far as I can see he is his own man and it is good that he is not a follower of Corbyn´s dictat regarding Brexit issues. He´s a smart person, who has a global perspective and sees the importance of maintaining as closely as posible our links with our EU brothers, sisters and allies be it through continued membership of the EU (I dream), having access to the single market or staying within the Customs Unión, He is right on all of these scenarios. .

It was a deal agreed by all the major powers at the time, Russia, China, USA, UK, France, Germany. It may have had its faults but what was Trump´s purpose in tearing it up other than to cause chaos, which is how he survives. Create chaos!!

Why spend 2 years making a flawed policy? inspections could only be carried out on sites chosen by Iran, that's idiotic, military sites could not be inspected, where do they think bombs are made? the treaty would pay lip service only to keeping Iran nuclear free, pretty much what has happened in Korea. it should have gone through the houses, but Obama knew it would not get through as alot of democrats were against the deal. Obama pushed it through without the house which is why it was so easy for trump to repeal, pretty much the same as the Paris Accord

Exactly, the entire purpose is to do what the deal does. its not perfect but its a step forward from the sanctions.

A flawed deal maybe a flawed deal, but it is still better than no deal as it keeps the communication open. Trump is openly the school bully. no tact, no diplomatic skills, throwing his weight about trying to have things his way. Many tracts of people in the US loathe him, it is time for the rest of the world to put him on a big ignore, starting with Mrs May cancelling his state visit to the UK.

When you buying your house, would you have signed the contract if it was flawed or not perfect? it seems to me that Obama knew it was not a good deal yet wanted it pushed through. impose sanctions until the Iranians are willing to come to the table and agree to all demands. these are demands and not requests made by the international community, the Iranians must comply or stricter sanctions are enforced, pretty much what happened in Korea. the minimum must be international inspections without warning

Maybe we should treat the US like Iran and impose sanctions until we are rid of the Trump administration, have regular inspections of their polluting sites, say where they can have their military arsenal in the world. It is doublé standards - do what I say, not what I do.

Have you not seen our housing market? You literally couldn't have picked a worse example there as the public are being ripped off left right and centre but have no choice but to go along with it or be left homeless! Most would consider thats worse than a bad deal on a house. It's debatebly the no1 issue in the country right now.

Any way, Trump should be working to improve trust with Iran, not destroy it.

You're never going to get them to accept your demands if you just sanction them.

You need to build trust and cooperation. Then relax the sanctions more as you progress.

I won't be going to the US until that fool has gone. Bit silly, I know, but I don't want my tourist dollars to endorse a maniac.
