Wembley forced to put up safety nets amid fears roof could fall in! The Football Association was forced to install netting under the entirety of Wembley Stadium’s roof as a precautionary measure against any of it falling down, part of a long-running problem which is one of the reasons the governing body is interested in selling to billionaire Shahid Khan. The FA board decided in Sept 2013 that it needed to take precautionary measures against the problem which dates back to the stadium’s opening in 2007 when it was discovered that roof panels had been wrongly installed. The final decision to install the netting is understood to have been undertaken when a part that had fallen from the roof was discovered in the stand during a non-matchday routine check. uk.yahoo.com/sports/news/exclusive-wembley-forced-put-safety-195457447.html Read more: http://intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/22442/wembley-fears-roof-fall#ixzz5EpOMcvlF
Let's hope Mr Khan doesn't read online news stories, or his offer for Wembley might have a few million knocked off it. And that the FA's lawyers Bodgit & Scarper have remembered to insert the phrase "Sold As Seen" on the deeds of sale to the US Billionaire.
Not sure what's funnier, Wembley falling apart already or Charlton fans thinking they are going there
On the bright side, in the unlikely event we make it to Wembley at least we'll know that any broken bits of the stadium lying around the place probably won't have anything to do with who was playing there the day before
