It's Sunday, we've got nothing to talk about as we actually won yesterday (<laugh>) and I'm bored.

So, can Manchester City win the Premier League?

A fantastic result at Spurs today, 12 goals scored in 3 games so far and possibly the best squad in the world suggest they should be favourites. But, in my opinion, Manchester United will be too difficult an obstacle to overcome.

I do think they can. Chelsea and arsenal aren't they teams they were, so man utd are their biggest title contenders. Man city look good when they play and have a great squad.

They look like they have gelled for the first time since the money men came in.

True, what Barca wouldn't do to have Corry Evans pulling the strings in Midfield. <laugh>

Corry Evans couldn't pull strings on a guitar.

They can win it but Man Utd also looking great, don't fancy Chelsea so much this year, Terry Lampard and Drogba not getting younger. Liverpool looking surprisingly good too, think they were still on their holidays when we played them. Man City can win it for sure.

man city have had a great start so far as their players are finally starting to gel. once the champions league starts though i think man city will drop points in the prem as they go all out to do well in the CL. man utd on the other hand are well experienced to do well in both.

    1st man-utd
    2nd liverpool
    3rd man city
    4th chelsea

Kind of agree, but Liverpool are still a poor side. The signings they've wasted £100m on are all average at best, aside from Suarez (who's a real class act). Adam, Henderson and Carroll just happened to have a great season in 2010-2011, and Dalglish clearly knows he's overpaid massively as he avoids questions about the expenditure like the plague.

Half of Chelsea's first-team are past it.

Arsenal are to this season what Liverpool were to the last.

    My Prediction -

    1. Manchester United
    2. Manchester City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Liverpool
    5. Tottenham Hotspur
    6. Arsenal

I don't agree about Liverpool, I watched their games and they are playing some good stuff. All about opinions I suppose! Totally agree about Chelsea, you hear a lot of comments about it still being still Mourinhos team and he left in 2007 so that's not progress.

    We'll see... :emoticon-0105-wink:

I know Chelsea have splashed out on a few young players in Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku, but when Terry, Lampard and Drogba form the spine of the team it must surely be a worry. :undecided:

They've put Spurs to the sword this afternoon and Arsenal are a shambles at present. They have a chance, but they're up against an emerging Liverpool side and of course Man United. For some reason i don't see Chelsea as such a big threat for the title this season. If Man City can learn from the community shield defeat then they have every chance, but like that game showed Man United have that bit extra. Probably not this season, but next season who knows.

No, but I feel his best days are behind him. I think he peaked a couple of years too early, between 25-28.

Just watched Man Utd win 8-2, staggering, and could have been more, anybody who didnt see it watch the highlights tonight, Rooneys second free-kick was a masterpiece and there were some other fantastic goals

Man United will win the league, they're in a different class to everyone else.

Man City have improved and will definitely give them a run for their money, Chelsea will also be in the mix, but I don't see anyone else being in the running for the title.

Today has been a great advert for Premier League.
