Thought I would start a thread for all things injury related. Koscielny has just been reported to be out of the WC with a torn achilles. Sad for him. I guess Chambers will play in his position in the last few matches although I wouldn't mind seeing more of Mavropanos.
Chambers had a hell of a game against Athletico. I've always thought he was a good CB, once we stopped playing him at RB he has looked the part.

France manager Didier Deschamps had already confirmed the centre-back would miss this summer's World Cup. "You will not see him until December at best," said Wenger. "Koscielny is devastated. "People have always inflamed tendons but they don't rupture but in his case it went. I don't know why. "The recovery will be full because the advantage of surgery is that it heals the inflammation." Terrible news for all concerned. Looks like getting a new CB is imperative this summer transfer window.
The most important injury news is that Santi Carzorla has completed a week of training with the first team. (for the first time in what 2 years?) I hope he gets back to full fitness and get at least one more Season at the top level under his belt. Such a great little player.
Would love him back but to be out of football for 2 years at his age is a very long time and doesn't bode well. Give him a full pre-season and see how he goes but we should be looking to get a new CM anyway.
