BREAKING NEWS: The White Elephant to stage games where players take several hours to run around in circles next summer Sort of like it's been for the past couple of years, in other words...
This is something that they want to do in London regularly, apparently. Their league is “committed to playing in London in 2020 and our intention is to establish a long-term footprint in the city”. I wonder if our new stadium is compatible with expensive rounders?

I think that if you stick the catchers box on a corner, then you'd be fine to one side and for outfield, but you wouldn't have enough space on the other side. 325 feet is roughly 99 metres and that's the minimum for the foul line thingy. I guess that the Spam Stadium's gaps between the stands and the pitch are useful for something!
Given how Americans think you can play football matches at baseball stadiums even though the design of baseball stadiums mean that the crowd are unable to get a good view of what's happening, an example of which below... please log in to view this image ...of course they're going to think baseball games can take place inside a football stadium in spite of the fact that approximately 2/3 of the stadium would need binoculars to see the outfielders, let alone the actual fraction of the pitch where the action takes place.
Maybe the MLB could be persuaded to buy the ****er? Probably not, it makes Wembley look like an award winning design.
'Lady' Brady in her much loved Sun column... “We have some problems at the London Stadium caused to a degree by the terms of our lease, which we are tackling, but also by malcontents and keyboard warriors,” Those malcontents and keyboard warriors would consider themselves to be supporters. Many other clubs and their management might agree with that terminology.....but some wouldn't. It doesn't explain how they're causing problems with the stadium, unless they are using their keyboards to build a bridge to get across the slippy carpet so that they can wrestle with Mark Noble.
<BBC> Some more quotes from West Ham joint-chairman David Sullivan, who says: "When David and his team arrived, it was the wish of both parties that the focus be only on the six months until the end of the season, at which point a decision would be made with regards to the future. "Having taken stock of the situation and reflected now the campaign is complete, we feel that it is right to move in a different direction. "We are already taking steps to identify and recruit the manager we believe can take West Ham United forward in line with our ambitions. We aim to appoint a high-calibre figure who we feel will lead the club into an exciting future for our loyal supporters within the next 10 days." </BBC> Fat Sam : welcome to West Ham !!!
Ambition and the Spanners - not words ever found together in a serious sentence without either the words ‘no’ or ‘lack’ also appearing.... Schteeeve McLaren would fit the bill....... except he’s likely safe and off to QPR (another basket case of a club, clinging desperately into solvency). Or is Mick McCarthy available?
