Nicked this from Cardigan Life, where @baraettmattesvensson has identified the need for a well known fan to be employed to unite a fractured relationship between Club and fanbase.

    Thoughts on possible contenders ?

    1. Paul May

Enjoys excellent relations with the Regime Hierarchy, including being on first name terms with Richard.
Fantastic informal scouting record with Charlton, including signing up Louis Moult, Matty Godden, and three players from Bournemouth. The only drawback is Paul's patchy attendance record. Would attending one [free] match per season be seen as credible?

    2. @lardiman

A dark horse contender. Given his legendary dexterity at flitting between the warring camps [known as 'flip flopping"], Lardi could emerge as the Henry Kissinger of the Charlton movement. Definitely worth a couple of quid.

    3. @DonCorleone

The under-the-radar candidate. Could be relied on to post the minutes from the Board meetings, albeit six months after they have taken place. Already a wealthy man with a portfolio of clients in the Cayman Islands - would he need the job?

    4. Rick Everitt

His vow to make the Club unmanageable left us without a Ticket Office in the week we are heading for Wembley. His appointment must be imminent. Dare I say it, a Done Deal?

I have been unable to add @baraettmattesvensson , as the Charity Shop would demand steep compensation <yikes>

Deliberately omitted due to demanding free access to a buffet at her interview for the role.

After his success as a middle east peace envoy, surely the universally respected Tony Blair would be a natural choice?

Its nice to be on the list, but my capacity for self-doubt is rather too high and I tend to defer too much to other 'stronger' (more stubborn or self-assured) characters.
I have all the qualities needed to be a Lib Dem leader (apart from liking the sauce too much) but I'm not cut out to be the middle-man in the Owner / Fans dispute at CAFC.

    What about Jim Davidson?
He was cosying up to the regime and then joining the protests in the space of a few days (or was it minutes?) if I remember rightly...

A warthog hunting down wild truffles will have nothing on me.

Going back to the Supporter Lisison Officer vacancy, I am still favouring Paul May’s candidature.

Not only would Old Reamsy be useful in the scouting department :emoticon-0136-giggl, with his in depth knowledge of extra strong lagers, he could double up as a match day barman as well.

Describing a celebrity. In truth I don't know Jim's views on recent goings on at Charlton. What he does or says gets some attention because he is famous, but I doubt his views are any better informed than those of most of us.

That phrase 'amateur human being' was not meant as a compliment I know, but I don't think it casts Elf in a bad light.
Does anybody really want to be a professional human being?
And there's nothing wrong with amateur football as such - people enjoy playing it and many folks enjoy watching it. It's where all football came from.
