Swansea have only scored twice in their past 7/8 games apparently. No letting up if we take the lead Saints, a 3-0 lead with 20 to go would be nice. In reality they've been poor for a long time... We'll ****ing smash 'em.
Those three Chelsea goals last month destroyed me - but they didn't destroy the team. Let's hope Hughes can get them up for this again. We can do this. Wish I was going now, these occasions are what it's all about.
Gutted I can't make it but had to pick between Everton and Swansea and chose Everton due to it being a weekend and wanting to visit Goodison with them moving soon. On nights so will have to leave for work with about 5-10 minutes left n put Solent on in the car Hope the players have picked themselves up, some looked absolutely gutted on Saturday when they came over to us.
Forgot to mention it's my birthday. Not sure whether to turn my phone off this evening or keep frantically checking it
Some people, well quite a lot actually, have had us down for weeks, so winning tonight will feel like a promotion! COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!!
I don't think I will. I live in deep gooner country anyway - the pubs round here will be deader than the Emirates, & besides I'm visiting friends who aren't really into football.
Getting ready to leave mid-morning, it's 50 miles to Swansea from here as the crow flies but a 160 mile drive, but Saints you're worth the effort. 2-0 win, bitten finger nails and sore throats predicted.
I knew this would be tight but I had totally forgotten how unbearably tense relegation battles can be. Everything crossed for this one.
So Swansea up to dirty tricks by refusing to let the squad stay in the only Premier equipped local hotel. More motivation if any more were needed.....
It’s in The Mail and The Sun - they cancelled our 40 room booking saying there was a virus in the hotel yet remain taking bookings from general public. We are now staying 35 miles away in Cardiff
They’ll be just fine at the Vale...yes it is a bit further out from Swansea and yes it is a last minute change to the plan, but they couldn’t ask to be in a better hotel prior to a match. The Welsh football and rugby teams both use it as a base prior to internationals and it is a fab and relaxing place...only issue is the inconvenience of having to change their plans
