A club needs to be sustainable and not make big losses, so it has nothing to do with the owner. This is the point that you don’t seem to grasp.

Irrelevant. That bit still isn't true regardless Diego.

Something tells me you're just bored and looking to kill some time. Is no one biting on the Liverpool board tonight? <whistle>

So the fact that someone has just paid off all the clubs debts and put in some working capital is irrelevant to my assertion that a billionaire could do the same for any club of he so wished?

Then you brought up Moshiri which was incorrect. Debts don’t come in to it, it’s all about income and expenditure. Yes they can make a slight loss, but it’s also averaged over 3 seasons, hence why some clubs will spend a lot then have a summer off.

Moshiri will not be able to bank roll Everton to the top without building an empire. Look at Spurs for an example, their owner is a billionaire but he’s not bank rolling them to the top. He’s building a franchise with a massive stadium etc

Liverpool have nothing to worry about ... even if they do finish 5th, Jerkin Kopps record in cup finals suggests they'll be ... oh **** <yikes>

So the repayments don't count in the running of the club

If you spend money you haven't got, you make a losses. Losses of a certain size aren't permitted by clubs, therefore you can't just buy a club and spend what you want buying hundreds of millions pounds of players on high wages.

    Welcome to the point.

Worth remembering that there's two sets of FFP rules, UEFA and PL.

Ambramovich paid of Chelsea’s debts.... does it mean Chelsea have no debts? No, because now Chelsea owe Ambramovich. Our owner paid of our debts, we paid it all back.

FFP looks at turnover. By Moshiri paying off the debts, it takes it away from the expenditure of monthly payments. He’ll pay himself if he comes round to selling like our owner did.

She paid our debts off, then paid herself back prior to selling.

Unless you have a clever accountant... capitalise your spending as an intangible project so that only the amortisation hits the income statement rather than the full expense in any one year and Bob's your Uncle ... probably best not to use Saxton <ok>

Abramovic could convert the debt into share capital ... no debt.

... depends whether you class players as 'contractors' or employees ... not saying anybody would do that ... but you could capitalise a contractor's costs as part of a project rather than expensing them as wages and salaries ... not that anybody would do such a scandalous thing ... although I could probably name a couple of FTSE 100 companies if you'd care to make it worth my while <whistle>
