8 senior members missing (according to ESPN sports) - if true, you really expect anything out of this game other than 'valuable' experience for youngsters?

5-0 man utd. They will be up for it, and want to put a marker down. On the other hand not a single one of our team would get in their team (incl. RVP). This line up makes me depressed. We suck. This season sucks. No champions league. Then no money. Just in time for the fair play rules. Woopie, well done board/wenger. Get rid of our income just before it becomes critical to use it. JOKE

 

Offer nasri £90k a week. When he is one of the best players in the league. Yet are happy to pay bendtnar and denilsen £55k a week. Not surprised he left. We are a shambles.

I still dont know why we sold Cesc. I would of just told him he is staying and to get on with it. If he wants to sulk for 3 years then it will be his loss.

We can complain though because we're not the ones with the power to change anything! Wenger can't complain when this all goes tits up but us fans can voice our dismay at the state of the team because we've all been suggesting replacements for months.

 

Here is the reality. Arsene Wenger has a budget given to him by the board. This includes salaries and wages, for this year. In addition he has to stick to a wage structure. If RVP and Arshavin are on 100K (say), he can't offer any player 150K without putting aside money from the budget to raising the wages of all the players at that level. So he can't sign Mata and put him on 100K when the other U21 players are on 50K.

every 20K/Week is a million out of the transfer budget. If it breaks the wage budget at a level, every 20K is more like 10M.

 

don't mind arsenal losing - but hate that they are giving tremendous confidence to ures' kids in the process...
