    2 assists already.

I really rate Van Persie, but he's not a target man. These 2 assists are typical of what Nasri did for Arsenal as well, but the difference being we have no one in the box to convert these.

edit: before anyone misunderstands I'm just saying that Van Persie is more suited as a support striker, not saying Dzeko is better than him. He's not that type of player that is adept at being at the right spot at every moment. He sits further back and seeks to combine with the team.

It's strange to see Nasri being so generous with his crosses/passes. With us, he was always trying to dribble the ball into the net.

I don't agree with that. The situation imposes things on you. If you try a few passes and it ends up on people like walcott who just forget the ball or bounce off a defender, you try something different the next time.

At Man City he has a proper target man, and obviously different results will be expected.

Just because he left on shallow grounds doesn't mean we have to revise history lol.

Assuming both players have a full run, RVP will have more goals than the 'competent' Dzeko come the end of the season.

Do people actually read posts anymore? Dzeko and RVP aren't players in the same mold. I'm saying that we would benefit if we had a player of this type AND RVP in the same team. We almost never score such 'simple' goals. We work way too hard for them most of the times.

Having a classic striker like Dzeko does help. Adebayor at his prime with Arsenal did fill that role quite well IMO.

RVP sucks on his own up front. Not quick or strong enough. Nasri has been fantastic today. He carried arsenal last year. Hate him if you want, I dont like him, but he is such a good player. Without him last year we would of been mid table. But apparently the board wouldnt go above £90k a week for him, when they are happy to pay bendtnar £55k a week.

And WALK is the key word, because alot of our players dont seem to realise that you have to pass the ball with pace to break teams down. Alex Song is the worst for it. He is so lethargic and slows the game down so much. The beuty of the old team we had was that bergkamp, ljunberg, henry, pires and vieria knew how to play with speed. They made great runs off the ball and they moved the ball quickly.

RVP is gone if anybody wants him after this year. He will only have 1 year left on his contract. If he gets inured again nobody will want him for enough money and we wont sell. But if he stays injury free then he will leave.

Wilshire to chelsea within 2 years imo.

Even if he stays injury free I think RVP will stay. His style is only suited to maybe Serie A (besides the PL), and I wouldn't think he would switch to another PL team.

Totally agree with you here. We just don't know how to play in a more direct way anymore. How many times did Walcott run down the channel and cross the ball to...............NO ONE? No one bloody gets into the box anymore. This is all down to Wenger and no one else. We have abandoned everything that we represented from our successful Invincibles era. This is the English premiership Mr Wenger and not La Liga!!!
