Well, it's been a long old day.... Game was hard work but at least we never really looked like losing it. Really looking forward to rubbing the "elites" noses in it with our up and at em style... even today, we get comments like "despite only drawing with Reading" whilst little is said about everyone's favourites Fulham being tonked by a relegation haunted team... Hope hum, who gives a toss.... for no one likes us but we don't care, for we are Cardiff, Premier League Cardiff, we are Cardiff from South Wales.
Whilst it would have been epic to have seen a city goal as the roof would have come off, and as you allude we were never likely to concede (Etheridge hasn’t had a save to make in past 2 games) knowing the Brum score took the pressure off .... it was surreal though watching the players do nothing for last 5 minutes.... I’m just knackered, happy, ecstatic and relieved. What a season. So many moments that were in the end significant ie Bamba’s equaliser v Sheff Wed, Zahore’s winner at Burton, Pilks equaliser at Sheff U, Paterson’s winner at Barnsley, Ralls’ penalties on the road, Tomlins equaliser at Reading, Morrison at Hull etc etc This beats the last promotion and how much do we owe Warnock, Blackwell & Jepson for creating this wonderful squad of players who bled blue for us
Great for the lads and the boss. Wish we had of played better in the final third. Great day, but now the reality kicks in. Lots to do before next season!
Nice position to be in, no need to gloat, just sit with a smug look on your face and let all those who say others 'deserve' it more than us do the talking for us. You deserve what you get, we got the second highest total points in the league and by the rules of the competition, WE deserve to go up. Smile and let others do the talking for us. Whatever they say and whatever they think isn't going to change the fact that WE will be playing in the premier league next season.
Exactly - we've heard it all before about " deserving promotion" to the point that it becomes like wallpaper on a forum. He was asked in a media interview what's the Warnock way. His answer (and our answer since) - "What do you mean, the winning way?
Right guys own up Who was suffering with a hangover this morning and stayed in bed until the pubs opened...
Big grin on my face as I walked into the office in Liverpool today. Lots of reds and blues from Liverpool and Manchester work here. Nice to walk in with my chest puffed out. I'm sure there'll be plenty of days before the end of the year when I walk in with my head bowed. In the mean time, I'll make the most of it
