Because people are comparing individual players within the squads maybe? That suggests matching their squad man for man. That's not going to happen because we don't have the finances to do that. Nor should we be aiming to do what someone else has done (ignoring the fact they'll improve too) in terms of their squad. Even if we did want to match their squad, we'd need to sign about a dozen quality players this summer!!! We should be worrying about ourselves and improving where we need to improve. **** what everyone else is doing.
all I said is city have x,y and z meaning 6 players up front and no drop off in quality. that's it! it's your problem if you equate that with spend 500mil of reserves. I've no problem with us signing 6 quality players this summer. I just don't think that has to mean 500mil. as I've said 4 or 5 will leave and 4 or 5 will come. we know, and you know though you won't admit it, that one injury this year up front and we were ****ed totally. we have got though this season from Jan with no real option up front. luck is not a strategy.
Klopp confirms we'll be making signings this summer http://www.espn.co.uk/football/socc...keita-only-first-of-deals-to-strengthen-squad
Klopp set to make shock move for Kop hero Pepe Reina Liverpool will turn their attention to a familiar face this summer as the Reds hunt the signing of Pepe Reina, according to reports. Reina is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season even if they win Serie A. And Spanish outlet Marca report Liverpool could nip in to bring the 35-year-old back to Anfield. AC Milan were favourites to sign the shot-stopper but Klopp is keen due to Reina’s Premier League experience. The Spaniard spent eight seasons with Liverpool, clocking up almost 400 appearances for the Reds. He won four trophies during his time on Merseyside including the FA Cup in 2006 and League Cup in 2012. Reina had a year on loan at Napoli before a move to Bayern Munich where he made just three appearances during his single season in German. A permanent return to Napoli followed where Reina has helped the side compete at the top of the table. Napoli currently sit seven points behind Serie A leaders Juventus though do have a game in hand. Reina has helped limit opposition to just 26 goals in the league with Napoli possessing the second best defensive record. Source: Daily Express
so origi and sturridge are not goners and mingolet and can are not going? it's not as if theres not plenty of changes.
Reina is probably the best keeper we've had in the last 25 years but that ship has sailed. I would have taken him back 5 years ago, but not now.
Irrelevant. You see us signing at least six top quality players? We rarely sign two top quality players!
Who said top quality anyway? you? whoever we sign will be potential to be like every single player we buy.
I said top quality yes, because people were comparing to the Man City squad. Aka...top quality players
sigh.... again... nobody but you is saying top quality or vast sums. as I've said we will buy players we think can make the step up it's very clear for the 15th time the gaps we have and for the 15th time if we want to challenge we know what we have to do. we simply don't win a thing relying on just 3 forwards all year next year and the rest are championship.
Who the **** is buying Sturridge ? Can's replacement already signed Origi & Migs aint going to raise much money. One thing always confuses me is why people think that when a club no longer want a player he will definitely leave
62mil Midfield of fekir and keita, who will be behind that? In other news grujic can return to us now Cardiff are promoted. Not sure if he can play for us this season. Wilson too. That's two players we need to watching pre-season to see if they can add to our squad next year
There is a endledd list of players that stood out in pre-season that turned out to be ****. Pacheco and Voronin being the most obvious two. Better off looking at what they've done whilst or on loan
