Can someone please tell me how they managed to lose so many leads this season but got a clean sheet against the championship top team? In a season of few positives, it is good to end on a positive note. Get the sale finished, get the new manager in, get started on a new SAFC for next season
Barnsley and Burton join us next season, both lost in cruel circumstances at least we were spared a real downer to-day, well done the kids.
Wolves were always going to be on the beach today. All we needed to do was give ourselves a chance coming in to today. This squad should not have been relegated. Poor management from Grayson and Coleman. What's done is done though, can't wait for next season. Hopefully the takeover is approved this week and we can start rebuilding
Barnsley and Burton gone with us so revenge next season, but where was today's performance against Burton 15 days ago, they just take the mick out of us these players and this ownership thing should have happened in Dec last year too much damage done now.
Winning today just hurts that much more when you think of the points we've chucked away from winning positions in the previous four matches. despite being dross most of the season we were a whisker away from staying up and that's hard to take.
Aye, fine margins . 8 minutes against Burton , a couple of the keeper errors , a couple of defensive challenges made. Could have been so different.
Nice to have players available who are so happy to play for us. He looks a big lad in the picture on the site does anyone know if that's true? Like we've said a thousand times before we need physicality.
He's only 16, there's not much info on him but he's probably shorter than Ejaria and taller than Asoro Plenty of time to fill out
Must be weird playing at the SOL in front of a big crowd then going home to your parents house and doing homework.
He's blinking tiny, Nacho, certainly smaller than Joel and a bit taller than Milton Nunez . . . . but he's got a lot of growing time, so hopefully he'll be a good-un for us. I've had a couple, but I don't remember him actually touching the ball today (in the very few minutes that he was on the pitch)
Damn he's smaller than Asoro? Oh well we need a lot of new signings and as long as they aren't midgets there will be space for him if he's any good. Quite exciting having all these youth players getting game time.
Take note . . . . 'Wolves were obviously not at their best, but this was a good performance today, and The Lads, and the manager deserve a lot of credit. Everybody looked like they wanted to play for us, even Olive and Fletch who will be going back to Liverpool and 'Boro, respectively, and the young-uns looked keen and impressive Robbie Stockdale did what the coalman should have done ages ago . . . . he set us up to actually try and win the game, and he will have encouraged the lads to believe in themselves. The future does look a lot better after the last three very negative managers Another thing of note was the embarrassing 'Wolves fans, who sounded like they'd just been relegated instead of promoted . . . . hardly singing at all
