Yeah no time for rivalry here. Guy is a legend. Hope he pulls through. The game will be a sadder sport without him. Don't usually post on these type of threads as my attitude in general is if I don't know them personally I'm not fussed as **** happens to ordinary people daily. But this guy I have a huge amount of respect for...even if it's through gritted teeth.
I echo what everybody else on here is saying. He's the greatest manager that has ever lived. I can't imagine any football supporter not moved by this. The early signs are encouraging, so let's all keep our fingers crossed x
We are actually down in South Wales for the second weekend in a row as my mother in law has been taken into a local community hospital and is unlikely to come out. Has a double aneurysm on the brain complicated by a bleed as well. Unfortunately they can't really treat either as drugs that might help one would likely make the other kill her. Pretty ****ty really ... she is gradually losing control of her right side and whilst she can understand absolutely everything is now struggling to speak (which is obviously frustrating her). Steroids have helped. The key thing for Sir Alex, should he pull through (and hopefuly he will) is whether there has been any damage... it's horrible to see the effects of these things first hand.
In some ways I wish it was ... much tougher on my other half and kids. My 13 year old mush have sobbed for most of the 4 hour drive all the way down last weekend ... the old girl has picked up a bit with the steroids ... but it's tough to accept that she'll not get back to what she was.
