Morning all. Lovely bright morning with little wind. Off to get my brakes seen to which I hope will not take long, then I need to cut some new bean poles for my runners to climb up. Have a good day whatever you have planned.
Morning all. Grey and damp here at present, but due to brighten up this afternoon. I had a chat with one of my daughters last night about hacking into computer systems and said I wouldn't have a clue how to. She informed me that she could. In one job that she had working alongside the Ministry of Defence, she was sent on a course to make her aware of how the hacker operates. They were asked to pick a target and see if they could get into their system. She picked on one of our national institutions, I will not say which one, and accessed all their data with ease. After the exercise they did inform them that their systems were unsafe. We all rely on IT so much these days, but it is the hackers who often lead the way in new developments. Governments and companies who install programs they think are safe so do not keep on top of their security are living in a fools paradise.
I think it must be so easy to do.. Which is why they keep updating... Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
Morning all from a lovely sunny part of the country. Not a single cloud in sight, but there is still a bit of a north wind keeping the temperature down. Watching French TV yesterday some parts of the country are already harvesting peas grown in the open. There has been some worry though with recent hail battering the vines, that could have a detrimental effect on the grape harvest later in the year.
Morning all, another lovely warm and sunny day here, and hope that it will the same for you. Two of my granddaughters are off this morning on a week long school trip to Austria. While in England I stopped at the motorway services at Oxford which had a large school group from France puzzling over the coins they had. How things have changed since my school days. A day trip to St. Albans to look at the Roman remains was the best on offer for me. Mme did have a week in France when she was in the sixth form, but a visa was needed, the coach they travelled on was left behind at Folkestone, and a new one met them in France. The ferry had wooden benches in the open to sit on. All very different to the one I use these days, with reclining seats, restaurants, bars and shops. Thankfully my eldest granddaughter has been cured of her milk allergy since she has been here, and now feels that she is one of the crowd who can enjoy the experience of travel.
Back in Blighty you get summer rain, when it is hot, the air rises from the earth and clouds form and it rips it down Here, the rainy season is just before summer, which isn't just yet at all. It is hot rain when it comes. Now here, and yesterday, I after nearly 9 years here, I have never seen rain like this, the typical thunder storms, but with hail and the wind is unreal. It is moving in every which direction. I've had my front done recently and the new wall and roof is passing the test so the front patio is fine. Half an hour ago I took the rubbish out and I was drenched. It was side waysish. River lea in the streat. No fishing mind, would love a good Barbel hunting mind, miss stalking them down the Lea. Climate change? At least it is cooler here after 3 weeks in the mid 30s. Bank holiday back home, is it? We had Tuesday off here for it. I felt great then ****ed for it as it was two Mondays in a week!
Morning all from a sunny island - I hope there's good weather in Norwich for my Aunt's birthday today.
The forecast is for bright sunshine ,down here in Weston-super-Mare it started out warm and misty and is now clear but overcast
Morning all, just like summer here, and about time too. I could have sat out in the garden at midnight last night and not been cold. Two more public holidays this week, Tuesday Victory Day and Thursday Ascension Day. Limited shop opening to allow the staff to enjoy time with their families is a good thing I believe. Of course my name isn't Arkwright.
