No idea if conceding 2 goals in 3 PL games is testament to him, or the players are getting more acquainted to the system. He's our best CB in the air for sure.
Positioning is pretty solid as well. Hardest thing about a back three is coordinating when someone steps out of line, and how to cover for them. Can't remember seeing Bednarek getting lost in the process very often, and possibly not at all.
I’ve not read anything else, just clicked a random page and read this. Seriously Tom, why do you even bother. FFS
He might be right Laces, but he needs to sit at home and tell himself that, not come on here giving it the love fest for referees.. He comes on here and gives it the large about Yoshi should go, but I wish he would.
You may know the rules of Association Football, but this comment shows how you understand the game in play. You just don’t have a clue Tom about how thegane is played.
Still my main gripe is the 4mins. There was only 4 subs in the second half and little to no injury time or wasting time. If we include Cedric’s injury, 4 mins was a maximum.
Those last 3 posts for some reason have cheered me up [emoji16] Nothing better than a delayed reaction, when you are over it. Thanks to my twin @fatletiss for cheering me up [emoji16] We March On
It’s been almost a perfect weekend for saints. Getting a draw against Everton is all we really required as even if we had beat them it wouldn’t have changed the fact that we would still need to beat Swansea Tuesday to stay up. Hughes has a massive job now lifting the players and getting them back on it. But he seems the perfect man for that job.
Watched Dunkirk last night, to get a sense of perspective on what constitutes a real crisis. Things looked pretty bleak around then, but it all turned out okay in the end. Still couldn't face watching MOTD though.
Well the trouble is that now we have to beat swansea to survive and even if we do, we could still go down.
Devastated over how we managed to 'snatch ourselves from the jaws of victory'! Disappointed that senior players like Yoshida and Bertie lost their composure; many have commented on here about the lack of leadership in the team and its not unreasonable for those two to set a standard. The positives of MH was there for all to see and we have momentum for the Swansea game. Had we won or drawn yesterday; this coming game would still be the one to define our season. A few weeks ago there was a gap that has been closed and we now control our destiny. So for all the disapointment of yesterday; today looks alot brighter than 48 hours ago.
That goal was a real sickener. What on earth was Bertrand doing? That was one of the most stupid clearances I have ever seen!
Just checked the goal difference and it much better than i thought! If we win by a minimum of 1 goal the difference will be 9 goals. Unlikely but with them against stoke and us against city it certainly isnt impossible
Victory at Swansea is pretty much survival; actually more than 90% probability of staying up. Still have to win that game however.
Redmond was a revelation - direct, exactly like he wasn`t with MP2. Our form is better than Swansea`s - stating the obvious, we have to go for the win, and assume they`ll beat Stoke, and we`ll lose to ManC in the last games.
We wiz robbed!! Dubious free kick.......Time added on!!!!!! Where on earth did the ref get the additional extra time minutes from. If I didn't know better Id swear the ref was in the pay of the Everton club!!! Should be an interesting next few games.......COYS
There was also the sending off and your goal. If you take 30 seconds for each of those you’re already at 3 minutes. The 4 minutes overall time was therefore perfectly reasonable. The injury time was held up for 1 minute 20 seconds with Cedrics injury, so the fact that he added that time to the 4 minutes is completely correct.
