I don't like to keep on about negativity but, FF Sake Pulis is really frustrating the the hell out of me. NEVER EVER gave ourselves a chance in hell! I cant WAIT to hear what T.P. say's afterwards. For me, back to work mate oh, and keep the faith. <ok>

    Crap tactics tonight, really crap.

    It'll go something like this:

"we worked aaaaaardddddddd Nige, the lads done smashing. Salif showed why he's midfielder of his type in the league."

Something along those lines I reckon. I'm getting really bloody tired of Pulis' tactics. Selling the best ball player at the club didn't help, it just confirms that we're going to be doing nothing but hoofs with the strikers we have!!!!!! Dreading Saturday

If ever there was a chance to beat Liverpool at Anfield it was tonight. They have shown this season that when teams get after them they struggle, so we did exactly what they wanted, played defensively, allowed them most of the possession and no surprise had but one shot on target. As with Man Utd and other top teams they will always get one or two against you and if we make little effort to score, then we are almost bound to lose.

He Salif Diao certanly is a "one off of his type" Just a bloody pity for us he happens to be a Stoke player.

P.S. are you Tony in disguise? For me it's, back to work for the third time tonight! :1980_boogie_down:

    Welllll.......

That was a bit poor, if Salif gets a game then why didn't we have Tom Soares on the right, Michael Tonge in the middle and Andrew Davies at centre half. I fu***** dispair with Pulis and his wacky team-sheets, I really do. I thought it'd be different tonight but we're starting to play worse than a few clubs in the league and i'm actually worried. We're six points away from the relegation zone and we need to start bloody winning, yes Tone that means putting out our best team from the start you stupid pig-headed Taff!

These Tweets from a Sunderland fan I follow pretty much sums it up:

Just seen the team TP put out tonight. Cowardly selection from a man who doesn't trust his players imo.

He's spent a fortune on players yet doesn't seem to trust them to play football. Very odd.

    Tom

It is very depressing and also worrying, thankfully he dropped Jones and played Carew, why only play one up front?
I don't know why I try and analyse Pulis' selections, does me more harm than good.

Is anyone else starting to worry that the football we will play for the rest of the season will be akin to the football (admittedly I only saw a few games) Pulis served up in the 2004/05 season?

    Yes.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that Tom but these last few games haven't exactly filled me with confidence in all honesty.

As a Pulis supporter I`ve got to admit that when I saw the team selection for tonights game I was dismayed, nay gutted!! Diao has got to be one of the worst players ever and he keeps playing him!! When no one came in for him last summer and he went back to Senegal I thought great, but no,TP brings him back in what I thought was a `coaching or scouting ` role but NO he`s now actually getting a regular place in the team ahead of Etherington,Fuller,Jones and Whelan!! What does TP see in him that no one else on earth can????? How did he expect to get a result tonight playing just carew up front with no one to support him ? I should imagine that Carew will soon become disillusioned like so many of us are when he`s flogging a dead horse!!! I said it weeks ago, I really think that unless TP gets his act together very quickly we will be in the relegation dogfight after the next couple of games.I mean playing Diao was bad enough but to replace him with Rory Delap when we are 1-0 down beggars belief( love Rory as a man and God knows he trys his heart out but age has caught up with him).Sorry f or the rant lads but like every other Stoke supporter I think we may have got a result tonight with a better team selection and attitude and that`s down to the manager!

No need to apologise Joe, i'd be pretty annoyed if people weren't ranting to be honest. Things need to change, we need to start playing our best team.

I'm usually the first to defend Pulis, after all, we see the team for 90 minutes a week, he sees everything that goes on in training, and should know the strongest team. But I can't understand the team he put out tonight. You've all done your ranting and I agree with most of it, so I'll leave it at that.

Listened to the match on Radio Stoke, none of the commentators were sure as to why TP put out such a team and the inclusion of Diao went down like a lead ballon with Gleggy. He tried to be diplomatic but the tone of his voice gave the game away. Oh well KTF
