I'm beginning to wonder if Trump uses AirForceOne to pop down to his nearest MacDonald's for his bedtime burger and fries. He's always flying about in it.....and the 'copter before. Must be knocking up a big bill for the people to pay.....but he always wanted to see the world for free!
If he wants to see the world for free, why not take up residence at the EPCOT Center? Oh, right, he'd probably try and build a wall around the Mexican pavilion...
My local ward had a 31% vote turnout at the local elections. The winning councillor got about 1,200 votes. What sort of a mandate is that? More people turn up for some non-league matches.
It says a lot that, even though the ballot in my neck of the woods had Labour, the Tories, the Lib Dems and the Greens on it, only Labour and the Tories bothered sending leaflets - and the Tory one didn't contain a single policy, instead just kept repeating "LABOUR BAD" over and over and over again...although judging by the last eight years worth of PMQs, maybe that is Tory policy.
"maybe"????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here the Tory leaflet said voters had three votes. They had two. Difficulty with basic arithmetic yet again. They were also promising to build a university here!!!!!! Difficulty with the real world. And an earlier one quoted one of the local Tory leaders as saying that he was "delighted to see youth employment was at an all-time low". The truth will out, as they say. Another truth (a real one) was that we won comfortably in an area that used to be pretty solid Tory.

While everyone was busy watching the local elections (and the bizarre attempts to claim it was a bad night for Labour) the Tories snuck Rosemary Carroll back in as a councillor in Pendle West - a council which, by complete coincidence, they won on Thursday night with a majority of 1. "Who's Rosemary Carroll?" I hear you ask. She's the councillor who posted this to her Twitter feed a few months ago... please log in to view this image What makes this even ****tier than it initially sounds is that Carroll remained on the council as an Independent, and that's how she stood on Thursday, yet as the votes were being counted she suddenly appeared in a Tory rosette before rejoining the Tories on Friday afternoon - and that's how they got their majority of one.

Funny that. I saw a documentary several yrs ago about USA military surgeons. They were being sent to city hospitals to train, as the gun crime levels were producing such level of casualties that the surgeons could get practical experience of dealing with bullet wound injuries outside of a war arena.
