Anyone watching it tonight? I promised myself I wouldn't, because this is probably the biggest con in box office history, but I just bought it. No idea who I want to win. Bellew is capable of being likeable, and then a complete twat in the space of the same sentence, whereas David Haye just seems like a cocky, arrogant disappointment. I re-watched the first fight, and even from round 1 David Haye wasn't bouncing round on his toes, he was flat footed, with his backfoot at an unnatural angle. I suspect before the injury, there was already a niggle or some concern around it. I doubt anybody in human history has ever randomly exclaimed "I've ruptured my achilles", after feeling pain in the foot. If David is fit, he has more chance of hurting Bellew, but Bellew countered well in the first fight and the longer the fight goes on, it'll favour him. I'm going to go for Bellew UD. Thoughts?
Wow. Didn't expect the knockout, but 3 clean knockdowns. I'd like to see Bellew fight a good current heavyweight, to guage where he is at world level. No point going back to cruiserweight for me.
He's too small for Joshua, Wilder, Fury. Could he be arsed to fight someone like Dillan Whyte or Parker? At the same time the winner of the super 6 and Andre Ward would beat him no bother
He can take a punch, and is an old school boxer, rather than a hulking fighter we typically see now. He's 6ft 3 and I think if he could have a crack at a Wilder it would be interesting, because Wilder is so deficient at boxing he wouldn't be eating jabs all night. Of course Wilder and the boxing board who own his belt are the biggest dodgers out there, because they were only ever building Wilder's 0 so that he/it can "die at the right moment", ie for millions against Joshua. Look at Whyte, ranked number 2, but Breazeale is somehow the mando? As if anybody who can box will get to Wilder before Joshua does. So another option is fighting Povetkin, for me. Povetkin will need to fight someone if AJ vs Wilder is made. Breazeale, Miller, Hughie Fury or Parker are other interesting options. Anybody else in the heavyweight game would be either too much, or way too inexperienced to fight him. I think he'll have won a lot of supporters after tonight, especially after opening up about what sounds like deep depression, so if he does carry on, I hope he gets a decent payday.
On a side note, Haye must retire. He'll become another Audley Harrison if he continues... but that is better than if Price continues. Jesus christ, if he takes one more beating he'll end up dead, the british boxing board should strip him of his licence and force him to retire, before he's put into a coma.
All good options if he was younger but I think he just wants 1 last big payday and the likes of Povetkin won't get him that
Wanted a three way belles hay Ferdinand fight where the simultaneously knock each other into a coma five seconds in. Never to be heard of again
