I don't really agree your last two paragraphs. In terms of the hiring and firing of the coaches each firing has not been without it's merits. I don't know that they don't reward loyalty, I've seen precious little shown to them: Silva being a case in point: Mazzarri not even bothering to learn the language; QSF not buying into their, and our, expectations; Joka (the one they've probably let go too soon) showing enough defensive frailty/naiivity (ironic, huh?) to trust him for the job; McKinley was a genuine mistake; Garcia was most unfortunate; they backed Sannino who came up short; Zola fell on his sword; Dyche not given the chance which was understandable given the takeover. This loyalty is a two way street: do a good job and expect to be rewarded; do not expect the employer to over reward in return. Thus far, most have been found wanting and the reason for that is another debate. Right, I've got a train to catch... YOOOOUUUUU HOOOOOORRRRNNNNNSSSS!
HF as I see it Javi has done a job under very difficult circumstance. He has learnt a lot in a short time. If he was good enough in January when appointed he is still good enough now (or the Pozzos need to really think about their recruiting methodology ). So if he is confirmed in the next three weeks and allowed to build for the future then fair enough. If on the other hand he is sacked I think the future looks bleak. Interesting in your post you name so many. Were they all disloyal Anyway hope you enjoy the match.
I wonder how many last home game of the season I have been to. Looking back it always seemed to have been a day when the sun shone down on the Vic, and the players and fans were more interested about where to go on holiday than the match in hand. Yet another season has passed when we started off with hope, yet finished with disappointment. There have been exceptions of course, the GT years being obvious ones, when you couldn't wait for August to come around again. Will a good performance today make any difference to the job prospects for Gracia? Maybe, but I suspect that if he goes then someone else is lined up. We do not sack someone then spend weeks trying to find a replacement.
If this result impacts the future of Garcia then the Pozzos have lost the plot. No manager should be judged on one game. And this queue of hopefuls lined up ready seems to be a joke. How many times does it have to fail (as the Pozzos see it) before they learn? To be honest if they fire Garcia I'll be taking a lot less interest. I have my dad's Mansfield and the local Cadiz team here to be concerned with. Teams not run as corner shops. It seems sad after so many years but c'est la vie.
