Away from the main action I expect one of the Roger’s (Mr Varian) to do rather well of the morrow. I would expect SHARJA BRIDGE (1.50 Newmarket), EQUITATION (5.15 Doncaster) and SAM GOLD (5.20 Newmarket) to all prove much better, this season, than their current respective perches of 99, 81 and 86. The first 2 should improve dramatically as 4YOs whilst although the latter failed to win last term, as a 2YO, on his final run he did split Merlin Magic and Sevenna Star, off levels, in a close finish. This pair are now rated 97 and 107. Tomorrow, Sam Gold runs off just 86, I say, 86.

Meanwhile, I also expect Mr Varian to oblige with FUJAIRA PRINCE (4.20 Wetherby). This 4YO has obviously had his problems as tomorrow will be only his 2nd racecourse appearance. Ran with great promise though, on debut, last July and being a half-brother to Stayers Hurdle winner, Nichols Canyon, he should improve with age. The latter incidentally was also a very useful Flat performer when with old boy Gosden. A Listed winner who was perched in the 100’s.

    Good luck all.

Pastoral player runs at Goodwood in the 2.40. He's getting on a bit, but write him off at your peril. 2lb lower than his last winning mark with 3lb claimer who loves it round here.22/1 ew.

I'm gunna give Roaring Lion a second chance especially at 16/1, going to put his first run back down to lack of fitness and he wasn't really ridden hard and given a hard race. Still think he only got beat by Saxon Warrior because Ryan Moore is the king, and RL is 5 times the price, think Donnacha will win the 1000 guineas tomorrow.

Gunna go for Roaring Lion to strike back

    1. Roaring Lion
    2. Saxon Warrior
    3. Masar / James Garfield

    2000 Guineas

    Saxon Warrior 7/2
. Murillo is in the field to make it a test and set it up for this fellow to stay on strongly at the finish. Unbeaten and is trodding the established Ballydoyle path.

I think James Garfield will run well and Frankie Dettori has struck up a good partnership with him.

No other bets today. Good luck all.

Think I'll stick with Saxon Warrior, even though this could be pretty sharp for him on this ground? Saver on Roaring Lion with a RFC on these two. Good luck everyone! <ok>

Roaring Lion my idea of the guineas winner. Fair enough price with a saver on Expert Eye

Symbolization is an absolute good thing in my eyes. 5.25 ran a very smart & fit Purser to a neck last time. Has fitness on his side over Varians runner today. Lump at 9/4 for me.

    Good luck all

The Guineas is wide open I think, but now that Gustav Klimt has gone out to about 7/2 I think that is a fair price for what is probably the more likely O'Brien winner.
If Saxon Warrior finishes in the first 4 or 5 then I should think he will be clear Derby favourite.

I see the money has come for Masr and I am sure he will place, Elarqam I would love to see win but really could be anything. I have always liked Cardsharp too and so at 100/1 I will have a little each way on this other Mark Johnston horse instead.

I've back Elarqam at 11/2. The profile fits, he looks an exciting improver and that seems a fair price.

    3.05 Weth Gulf of Poets
    3.45 Weth Castle Hill Cassie
    3.15 Good Shamshon
    3.50 Good Shananagans

Don't usually back favs but i don't get why Havana Grey is so short? Should be about 1-5, he's better than every horse in this race, much better than group 3 standard, goes well fresh, and the icing on the cake? Gets weight from all of them!!!!
