Last year proved that we were in the market for bringing quantity to the squad, which proved to be ridiculous, many proving they were no better or even worse than what we had. It is also ridiculous for financial reasons, why have 10 players earning £8k-£12K per week , when 8 of them aren't worth half that, why not get 4 quality players for £15-£20k per week. The trends looks likely to continue if Whyte is the type of player we're chasing. If we were limited to us buying 4 quality players and that was it, what positions would you pick them for and who would the 7 other starters be, obviously if we were to sell no one. Pick whatever formation you'd want to see ------------------------Newbie------------- Ayling---------Jansson-------Newbie-----------Pearce -----------Forshaw----------Vierra---------Newbie -------------Saiz---------Hernandez --------------------Newbie--------------- Subs- BPF-O'Connor- Berardi- Phillips-Alioski-Roofe- Roberts(if he ever gets fit) the rest of the squad would be made up from the u23's
Afternoon Gessa. Phil Hay revealed that Whyte would start in the u23's. We need backup for when Saiz / Hernandez are injured / suspended / rested too. They need to be of their quality so they can keep rotating. You have forgotten about Lewie Coyle. He has been getting MOTM most weeks.... What are your thoughts on Antonssen and Klich?
Uncertain if our managerial team know what quality is Ges after this seasons shambles They need to up there game mate
See, that's what I don't get, how big a squad does this u23 team need to be, I get it needed improvement, which happened but at 22 we should looking for the now, 1st team wise. We do, but we would have to make do, we ideally need 6 quality players but I was trying to be more reallistic with us being able to get 4, so something had to give. I liked Coyle but League 1 is a different kettle of fish, as I witnessed first hand last Saturday, very poor football, he would have to prove he is better than Ayling and Berardi which I don't think he is, but don't object to him. Antonson is a no Klich could have something but a lot to prove.
Quality required indeed Coyle should have returned in January after Ayling's serious injury had our management put a clause in the contract with Fleetwood so we were in a position to recall him Antonsson & Klich not good enough on the evidence I've witnessed, I maybe wrong !
you have too many on long contracts so unless you actually manage to sell some cant see you getting quantity just depends on what sort of quality you do get
According to Hay, a few are to be shifted out. Biggest disappointment about that statement is, Heckingbottom will still be here next season. We need 4 Quality signings, could actually get away with 3 if BPF can progress that little bit furthur but it's alla waste of bollox if Heck is still here Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP · Heckingbottom says he's spoken to a small number of players who Leeds intend to move on in the summer. Would have liked to address it more thoroughly next week but conversations will be delayed while Leeds are in Myanmar.
You're having the German keeper from what I hear,as you are the only club who's currant keeper makes him look good. Are you keeping your 2 goal a season 48 year old striker another year or having the old **** humanely put to sleep.
if you were to search back through my old posts you will see that I have always said our keeper is a liability (nowhere near as bad as the German but nevertheless a liability) Hope Morison stays not for his goals because I hope we buy a decent striker but for his work rate and ethic.
Come on now Mighty,we've seen your keeper in his 2 live games, the Blackpool tower circus is the only place he will transfer to.
Wait till next season,we will be better than Wolves, you will go down, and I will win the lottery-----well I was on a roll
