Been to Port Rush, but not Coleraine. Went to Kelly´s and possibly Trax. I think we have had this conversation before though.
I fact I have never been to either Northern Ireland or ROI. I haven't been to Wales either. Sheltered life for this young pup.
Been to all three but I've never been to me. Terrible song. Decent set of lungs on her though. Looked like a tranny.
For a self styled Man Of The Earth I haven't been many places to be honest. But what's the point anyway? I mean, we're all going to die anyway and you cannot take places you have visited with you, I don't think. Maybe you can. Who knows? ER just prawn in game of life. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few as Shakespeare said in A Midnight's Autumn Nightmare.
I've torn up and down that part of the world on my motorbike. Used to ride through the villages and one minute everything is red white and blue with union flags and pictures of the Queen then just up the road are cut-outs of snipers and IRA paintings on the sides of the buildings. I shan't return, lovely part of the world but populated by nutters (on both sides, I'm not biased!)
Oh yes it bleeding well did. Gang of us over for the Northwest 200 pounding along the road that runs next to the river in Strabane. Endured the atrocious weather and visited the Giant's Causeway and paid our respects to Joey Dunlop at his memorial in Ballymoney.
I knows what I's seen dammit! The Huns had painted the kerbstones red white and blue and bunting strung across the roads between lampposts. The Fenians had paramilitary cut-outs on the lampposts with signs saying "warning, you are being watched" with the Tricolour flags replacing the Union Jack. Around Newtownstewart if you want to know. Things may have changed since then but it was only about 10 years ago and my eyesight and memory aren't that bad. Are you suggesting this was all larks and japery or some sort of tourist attraction?
