In the event of a ‘tie” it should be decided by which club is followed by the most Cardiff fans :emoticon-0136-giggl

What is your definition of 'Followed'? The Elf type of Followed or the Royston type of Followed?

A bare-knuckle fight between the owners is one possibility. Seeing Roland beaten to a pulp would be ample compensation for another season in L1.
My preferred option would be a game of paper scissors stone between the captains.

    Seriously?

Have you ever seen our owner? He couldn't bare knuckle fight a jelly baby. We could still send Timothy the Ultra if that helps.

Am I imagining this or did two teams toss up a coin for the decision once? (this isn't going to happen really though I'm just trying to convince myself we have still got a season).

Not straw drawing, but a toss of a coin.

Mind you, I have no idea who gets to call.

They used to do that in the European Cup. Celtic got through against Benfica on the toss of a coin, and the first time they tossed it it came down on its end and stuck in the mud, so they had to do it again.

The chances of a tie are about as remote as the chances of Diane Abbott being able to count to 10.

I've heard two theories, one being the club with the biggest cvnt of an owner wins, the other being the club whose manager has made the most Champions League appearances

I am not sure if it is relevant, but the Party of the 'Dark Lord' has taken control of Plymouth City Council from the Tories?

It's very relevant if you must know. The workers will rise up and storm the pasty shops. Plymouth seldom votes the same way in local and national elections which in fairness is a proper way to do things as they aren't the same thing.

You still haven't come up with a realistic method of deciding the drawn stats thing have you. You should know that according to some there won't be a drawn season because Argyle WILL reverse the goal difference this Saturday so it won't be needed. There are people apparently who have taken odds of 500/1 for this to happen. That's genuine by the way. I want to joint that forum only to say don't be so fecking stupid but I can't be arsed if they are that thick. 500/1 should read 5,000,000/1. If I was going to chuck a tenner away for nothing I would at least want some rediculous reward if by the faintest of chances it came in I could retire in comfort. These people believe the odds are worth a punt.............you couldn't make it up could you.

Its not inconceivable that we will lose tomorrow and Plymouth will win by the required amount. A lifetime supporting this great club has taught me never to underestimate our capacity for a bottle job. I can easily see us losing with Rochdale having to win to stay up, plus us having a lot up there. But can Plymouth win 4-0 at @brb beloved Pikeys <whistle>

I would be tempted to put £10 on at 500/1, so if Plymouth did knock us out of the play-offs I would at least have £5,000 to ease my disappointment.
And six weeks ago when we were 9th and fading away I would have gladly given £10 to see us in the play-offs. A small price for the minor miracle that Lee Bowyer has almost pulled off.

However, I don't gamble - and even if I did I would not bet against my own team.

Sorry to be pedantic but I think Plymouth themselves only need to win 0-3 to potentially finish in 6th place.
That's perfectly possible. It's the bit where Charlton also have to lose 4-0 that isn't going to happen.

I think Plymouth can finish 6th even if Charlton only lose 1-0,
but that would require Gillingham to 'accidentally-on purpose' allow Plymouth to thrash them 0-5 (which would put Plymouth in 6th place on goals scored if my maths is correct).
That scenario is not quite as unlikely in theory, but I don't believe Gillingham would behave so dishonourably.
Five goal drubbings do happen from time to time, but if Gills are on the wrong end of one at the Priestfield tomorrow it will cause more than some raised eyebrows.

Anyway I don't think Charlton will lose tomorrow, but even if we do I cannot believe it will be by more than one clear goal.

    I agree @lardiman

I think if we go 1-0 Bowyer will shut up shop and take the defeat. I was going to suggest he will bring on an extra defender like Baby Sarr...but that would make a 1-0 scoreline less likely <yikes>

All we have to do is not lose.

I firmly believe that after 6 wins in 9 games and most recently three straight victories with no goals conceded against some of the best teams in League One, Lee Bowyer and his men will have enough about them to get the job done.
