In the end, the result justifies the means. I always carry my blood pressure tablets and monitor whenever we play.

Ignoring our inability to pass, our tactics drove me mad last night. What were the front three doing? All so so narrow and Roma figured it out and just bunched up their back four every time. It was screaming for Salah and Mane to stick out wide. Then Salah just stood up top and did nothing, his goals and team chances have come from his starting out wide and coming in, just stood like tap in merchant Kane.

Mané was much more on the ball and definitely our motm.

    Lets go beat Madrid!

Been looking at flights and hotels, along with the ticket cost it's not going to be cheap.

Have to say Dzeko is one hell of a player. Beautiful technique for a giant. He really gave TAA a good lesson which I am sure he will use that and channel the lessons on keeping Marcelo out. I love the current front 3 as one will hurt you if you nullify the other. Mane put in a top performance and if all of our front 3 show up in the final we have a very good chance of getting number 6

We won and are in the finals. Now let's go and win it.

Yeah it was frustrating because we got into so many good positions but kept messing it up - especially once we got the second goal.

Midfield is still a concern because there was no control whatsoever. Imagine this team with quality mids! But that will come in time I hope.

Ah well - We’re in the final!!!

The score line flattered Roma - it was never really that close after we blitzed them at Anfield.

Especially once we got the second goal last night.

Frustrating that we can’t see out games recently.

Keita, Neves and Ceballos..... You are right though, as good as Henderson is at rushing players he really was panicky and this game he really hid. He cannot afford to play like that in the final. Get ball players in the middle of that park and we are even more dangerous .

    Nerve racking more like.

If we really want to be challenging for the title next season, we must sort out the defence. VVD is quality and added solidity but the likes of Lovren and Karius do not inspire confidence. How can a top team concede an aggregate of 0-6 in the last 10 minutes of 3 matches against WBA and Roma?

We’ve become a cup team but that’s great news for our final ;) our attacking trio will carry the team one more time. Let’s hope that Klopp has got rid of his finals hoodoo at last,. As he himself said no point going to a final if we don’t win it.

We may not be favourites but the stars are aligning themselves this season. :)

A partner for VVD is a must. And sticking with VVD, what a player. This guy is the real deal.

Welll we do like to make hard work of that. Ref was proper ****, missed a pen on Mane, missed a pen against TAA and some of eh fouls for both teams... jeez.

Not gonna talk about the performance because who cares. Job was to get to the final and we bloody well did it!

no one even talked about us having a chance at start of the year and the players have been incredible.

Lets secure top 4 v Chelsea at the weekend and then what ever happens against madeid the players can be very proud and have given us a brilliant season with best football seen in years.

Plenty of lows but the highs massively out weigh them.

Let’s just enjoy the final with no pressure. Everyone’s going to be talking about Madrid winning it 3 times in a row so great chance to spoil their party

Without a doubt! Not his best night around their box but by showing a bit of composure (and a fair amount of skill) he would move possession from deep in our half to deep in theirs shifting the emphasis of the game. He also defended really well at times whilst still trying to give me a heart attack when I thought he was going to do the "handball it to convince ref it was a foul" thing again!

Let’s not lose sight of the premiership. Yes, it will feel like after the Lord Mayor Show. But the matches against Chelsea and Brighton are important. We are 99% there so just that last shove. A dire 0-0 against Chelsea will do just fine and the premiership campaign is sorted.

Not easy for the team this weekend after yesterday’s achievements but Klopp will keep the players grounded. A defeat will push us back to 4th and we will almost certainly need 3 points against Brighton. Not a banker after we’ve gone 3 league matches without a win.

Agreed. We’ve worked so hard this season and deserve to end on a high. Let’s not undo it all by being complacent in the league and finishing 5th.

nope all the tickets are gone for flights. I would say you need to look at a longer route around and take the pain.

I just looked about 700 quid. flight from manchester airport to kiev via Belarus.

Try birmingham but thats even more expensive.

    The funny thing is..

We (in theory) should of been nowhere near this at the beginning of the season. We all just hoped to get in to the knock outs/quarters and have a special night or two.. We've blown everyone away who we've faced, we're the comps top scorers and we've bombed whoever we faced. TAA, Lovren, Henderson etc. Players that should be nowhere near our eleven have come through and put in some outstanding performances, and yes we made harder work of it than it should of been but that is just the way we seem to do things. This season has been massive, 130 goals, some amazing performances and some lacklustre ones in the mix too but you can clearly see where we are going under Klopp and at the very least we will be a competitive club on and hopefully off the pitch. We're in a final we have been nowhere near for the past decade or so, so let's just enjoy it and see if we can do it the Liverpool way again.

    theory about LFC

We can only play on small pitches where closing down is easier

    Roma pitch last night 105 × 68 m
Man utd pitch 105 by 68 metres
    Seville pitch size 105x68

Anfield: 101 metres x 68 (officially) ours is 5th smallest pitch in Prem

Offically the pitch in kiev is 105m by 68m

The theory is these pitches are all about the same width. We know this is not quite right as some are made tighter on purpose to compress space.

Roma's pitch looked very long last night and you could see massive gaps between our forwards and back 4 causing midfield to be absolutely wide open.

Both the forwards and defenders were at fault for allowing such a gap.

Real's offical pitch size guess what officially 105x68

4 metres might only sound like 4 steps i suppose but its just interesting to note where we have just got the run about... utd gave us an absolute run aorund at thier place. not a great one cos they are a bit **** really but its a well known PHFACKT the mancs are always confident when we go there cos we can't adapt to bigger pitch.

Just something to watch.... When our side set up first v roma we were defending our half. We were not great and their wide crosses were killing TAA but we were in control. The longer the game went on the less positionally aware we became and we bascially left such gaps every ball was going to a roma body as they flooded on.

For me we need to defend as a team and we were not doing that. The 3 lines are not moving as one. Blame forwards of the backs who are retreating i don't know but the team needs to address.

Been looking all morning and I could probably get there myself but I cant afford 2 and with my oldest being a student he's not got much he can chip in. Frustrating. I'll make my mind up if I get the chance of tickets.
