Did you expect anything else from a racist paper's musings on a foreign team?

Complete tosh, the entire article. Who knows more about football? Our manager who has been involved in the game for 25 years, or this numpty?

I don't read this paper, or any paper truth be told, but that article is something written by someone who doesn't go to games and is just an useless pundit who works at the daily fail!

Genuinely, it's most non-objectional arrogant bit of football journalism I've seen in a long time, if not ever. The only thing that springs to mind in a similar vein is, sadly, flavour of the month Leighton James constantly giving it the big one when we were stuttering, saying how he could do better and suchlike.

Having said that, this guy is in a different league. ****er.

The Mail. The only paper in the world that has conclusive proof that too many people in the country wearing yellow has caused the increase in immigration and that there is an ingredient in chocolate which means if you eat to much of it it inflicts homosexuality on your nearest and dearest. Also that Pratley signed for Forest last season. They only deal in facts. The ****ing useless piece of ****! Number one employer in the country of clueless ****tards!!!

In the article in the paper itself, Ryan has written

"But most of the time Swansea's attack, led by an unimpressive Danny Graham, was far too ponderous and predictable."

    Followed by:

"When Kemy Augustien chipped the perfect gift for Graham just before the break, the latter's header wide was so poor that you wondered at his lack of technique"

    He also wrote:

"Graham managed one powerful header for Swansea before reverting to type with weak or wayward efforts on goal. And his lack of class could have proved costly when Gyan raced clear again, only to be denied for a third time by Vorm."

Is this guy a Watford fan miffed by Danny's departure?

I made a complaint to the Press Complaints Commission about the Mail on Sunday once. It wasn't upheld... and that's a different story.

Did this guy even see the game? Imo, this has to be about the most biased and inaccurate piece of so-called journalism that I have read in a long while. He must have had his information from a totally one-eyed Sunderland supporter to produce this drivel.

It seems that pundits and journos alike are not going to do us any favours this season - I'm increasingly getting the feeling that they just don't want us tainting their precious Premier League. Well, I've got news for them. After seeing how well we performed yesterday, I'm also increasingly getting the feeling that we are going to say there a damned sight longer than most of them would like.

I hope Buck shows this article, sorry, this piece of unadulterated nonsense, to the boys. It should be motivation enough for them to kick on and prove they rightfully belong at this level.

    Ivor,

I agree. I think the boys are getting better every game. Sunderland are expected to be at least mid-table yet we more than held our own.

Hopefully, the first goal and the first win will enable us to kick-on.

    Ivor,

    Stole my thunder there!!

Absolutely. Exactly my thoughts, did the muppet even watch the match??!!
So insulting & condescending to Brendan too!! It was as if, what does he know compared to Steve Bruce!! How can this 'small' Welsh club have any right to be on the same pitch as the 'Mighty Sunderland'!! We should have been 'annihilated', well it certainly didn't seem that way to me!! I was quite dissapointed we didn't take all three, with the way we dominated at times!! If he was at the game, he might have noticed how quiet the away fans were at times. They knew they were in a struggle!! All the players they've signed, all the players they could still sign with their monetary 'fire-power', their experience, history, if only for better finishing, they could have been truly humbled!!
Danny-boy is having a tough old time of it at the mo, I really feel for the guy. But god help some teams when he does start firing 'live-rounds'!!

Go Danny go, lets this muppet be put to proper use. By using his utter nonsense to propel you on.....

Yeah - and they were too busy fighting among themselves in the first-half!

That is a surprising amount of bollocks in one article even for the racist, ignorant, lazy Daily Mail.
    I was tweeting or twittering or twatting, whatever you do on twitter, with a journo and he mentioned that Brendan was asked about abusive chants to the referee. Didn't know what he was talking about, but after reading this;

"Rodgers also insisted that Swansea's fans were 'very, very respectful' when they had just questioned Mark Halsey's parentage"

I guess they have never heard "Who's your father, who's your father, who's your father referee......"

I am expecting us to be accused of racist chants when some muppet journo over hears "You Jack Bastard" in the next game

Yeh, too right!! I was just across the way in the North. Their efforts/focus were on a different front!! Too long a journey & maybe a slight overdose in the old 'shandies' had taken it's toll.....

Dont worry about the view of the Mail, i saw the online article and thought it was just a very poor hack who has personal issues . I think on the whole we will get good press this year ,and i also think we are getting more protection off referees than last year though have to say there were some strange decisions yesterdy. Up to danny boy to prove them wrong init .

The swans will be media darlings this year im sure .

If I lined the bottom of my budgie's cage with a page from The Daily Mail,he'd move out,and who could blame him!

The article had such a heavy anti Swansea City/Brendan Rodgers stance that it could have been written by a bloob.

There were some very gracious comments by Sunderland supporters, however, and they carry far more weight than the article.

Just ignore this Ryan,he's not worth the angst.

Perhaps,Mr. Rodgers could take a leaf out of the great Bill Shankly's book, and put a copy of the article on the dressing room notice board,so the team can read it before taking the field at The Emirates.
