yeah he doesn't do himself favours because he says things that antagonise and he doesn't really give credit when alonso or fabregas or cahill have a good game and still criticises (proper riles up most of our fans hahaha).

I agree though we need better than alonso and fabregas is only useful as an impact sub in my view. I've been advocating ditching cahill for a while but tbh, we might need him if we don't have luiz in as dave, rudiger and christensen haven't really stepped up in terms of organising and leading.

I'm looking forward to Emerson getting more of a chance as athletically he's just far better (from what i have seen)

Alonso is great 8/10 times. He's consistent but because of his style where he won't be able to dominate his FB 1 on 1 (or his winger), he'll always need cover/he's not our exit guy (atm if a team swamps the middle or presses us high, we can't rely on him as an out ball, and this isn't only alonso but a symptom of our personnel and system) we get done.

 

Bobby, Alonso was in the team of the year mate. The Cescy thing maybe he had a shout but the Judas **** and constant Tony out and playing 10 men...give me a ****ing break Bobby. The guy has never seen SB let alone go to a game, he is the worst types of supporter ( if you can call it that) any team could have.

Chavs don't like him because he's brutally honest. I think he's great.

 

Alonso is great, against the teams we dominate. Against the stronger teams, i see him more as a liability.

Getting into the team of the year doesn't mean anything to me and he's only in there because he's scored some goals (it was garth crooks does).

I'm not saying he's the reason for our poor season, i lay more of that on conte.

He's great for if you want to win leagues. In the CL though and in the top games, he's more liability than asset imo.
