Full statement of advice from LFC website... it's like a foreign office travel advisory to Afghanistan Please note, earlier advice suggested using Piazza Campo De Fiori and Largo Corrado Ricci, however, these locations are some distance from the transport meeting point in Villa Borghese. It is suggested supporters socialise at Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna prior to making their way to the shuttle service Supporters are strongly advised to use the available shuttle buses to the stadium, which will run from Piazzale delle Canestre, Villa Borghese, starting from 4pm. Under no circumstances should supporters attempt to walk to the Stadio Olimpico. Assurances have been made that the shuttle buses are accessible for disabled supporters. Given the large number of Liverpool supporters who have travelled to Rome, it is accepted that the earlier that fans can arrive at the stadium the better, with entrance gates due to open at 5pm. Under Italian law, the name on match tickets must match the name on personal ID, and admission is likely to be refused in situations where this is not the case. Bags are permitted at the stadium but ticket and bag checks are expected to be long and arduous. Facilities will be available inside the stadium. The post-match hold-back is likely to be long, during which time the game will be replayed on a big screen, and the club would ask supporters to remain patient throughout this process. The club has been advised that during the hold-back facilities will remain open. Once the hold-back has ended, supporters will be returned to the city via shuttle buses unless on chartered flights. The shuttle service will operate once supporters leave the stadium. This will take two runs under full police escort and return supporters to Villa Borghese. Those travelling on organised day trips will have their own transportation available from the stadium to their respective airports. Once at Villa Borghese, a number of coaches will be available to transfer supporters to Flumicino Airport. Under no circumstances should supporters attempt to walk back into the city after the match; instead, use the taxis that will be made available. In keeping with police advice, supporters should not travel alone or wear colours and their co-operation with the authorities is urged at all times. Supporters are reminded to respect monuments of national importance, with a particular emphasis placed on not hanging banners and/or scarves on fountains and statues. Be aware that drinking alcohol on the streets is prohibited. Avoid areas in the north of the city, particularly those in the vicinity of Ponte Milvio Bridge, on matchday. In addition to the information provided by the Italian authorities, Liverpool would remind supporters not in possession of a valid match ticket not to approach the stadium and seek entry. If detected by the authorities any such supporter will be detained for the duration of the match as a minimum. Liverpool FC stewards will be located at the meeting point in Villa Borghese and at the stadium to provide help and guidance where possible.
There's no way Liverpool will not be in the final - Waddle Chris Waddle believes that Liverpool "will not freeze"when they taken on Roma in their crunch Champions League game tomorrow. Jurgen Klopp's side lead 5-2 going into the 2nd leg of their semi-final
Saw one disabled supporter ask if there would be an escort to the disabled entrance as it's on the opposite side... no response....
Its for the best. nobody can fix thier problem from them there so if its unsafe you can only mind yourself. That means follow the ****ing rules. They have basically named exactly where the roma hard core hang out. They won't arrest any of the scumbags so the ordinary visitor to thier crumbling **** hol city have to suffer. For me there are CLEAR choke points in this so called plan that are dangerous. 1. shuttles form stadium. That is one area where you are wide open. 2. Transfer point to airpoit at villa borghese. Thats the danger spot.
Actually I wasn't even thinking of the Italians... I was hoping the club would respond to him. Hopefully liaison officers will help.
Feel like if we win this we have a very good shot against Real. If Roma qualify I feel the same way about them. Either side against Real will be the fans favourite as "the underdog" and you can't help but believe that there might be a little less hunger for the title from Real. And Madrid arn't really the club they once were. Third in a two team league and relying on luck to advance each stage. Luck alone will only get you so far. It's always a little easier for the Challenger than the reigning champ. I think hold off Roma and the title is ours. (Don't hold off Roma and the title is Rome's)
don't know. He is out of squad. Nobody is saying he is just out but at best he would be back in training for brighton. thats 7 days time. he could be frozen out for all we know
Look we've a fighting chance. We need to get past SF first. I think there will be huge hunger in Real for this. In the end its just great to be there at all. This is all great and I'm enjoying it all.
They'll manage the game well if given the opportunity and wait for a set piece, a lapse in concentration or an opportunity to dive in with all that is the fact they have some quality individuals who can produce from nothing. Whoever goes to the final against them will need to be bang on form.
