Good Morning / Evening Everyone If Leeds want Kyle Bartley they will need to match the £28,000 a week wage he is currently on. Bearing in mind the 26 yo has suffered another knee ligament injury, would you take the risk and sign him? Until recently Leeds capped their wages at 15k a week until last week when Hernandez signed a two year extension reported to set them back 2m over the next two years. Are these players worth it? Is there better, and cheaper out there? Marco Silva's odds of becoming the next Leeds Utd Manager have been slashed from 33/1 (last weekend) to 15/2 (now). The candidates now rank: Mick McCarthy Nigel Pearson Steve McClaren Silva Slaven Bilic Alan Pardew Put the above candidates in order of favourite to least favourite... Below is a list of all Championship clubs graded by their ability to fill their ground so far this season. 1. Norwich City 94% of capacity – Carrow Road 2. Wolves 91% of capacity – Molineux 3. Leeds United 84% of capacity – Elland Road 4. Nottingham Forest 82% of capacity – City Ground 5. Sheffield United 82% of capacity – Bramall Lane 6. Derby County 79% of capacity – Pride Park 7. Brentford 78% of capacity – Griffin Park 8. QPR 77% of capacity – Loftus Road 9. Middlesbrough 75% of capacity – Riverside Stadium 9. Fulham 75% of capacity – Craven Cottage 11. Aston Villa 74% of capacity – Villa Park Leeds fan Jonathan Ward has just sold his Panini sticker album for a World record £1550 on ebay, and there are 6 stickers missing!!! Ward was preparing for a house move when he came across his Mexico 1970 World Cup album. How many of us used to collerct Panini stickers? Any stories to tell? please log in to view this image
Would love Silva but still some questions about him. Yes Everton wanted him but his club wouldnt allow him to go so he stayed but the teams form died after that and he got sacked. Everton got Big Sam and the fans are wanting him out even though his performance sees Everton as 5th best in prem since Sam took over gaining 30 points. What I would give for a manager to get 30 points in as few games. So Silva still may go to Everton if they get rid of Sam. Big Mick for me as we know what he will do and it wont be pretty to start with but it will win games and he will set the team up to draw games we would normally lose and win games we would normally draw. He knows how to get promoted to the prem and build a team capable of doing it Not going to comment on Klich at this stage. Heard Orta and Kinnear and Radz all agree that the wage ssystem could be broken for the right players. They are players who can guarantee goals or exceptional performers who will push the team to their main goal which is promotion. Radz also said Grabban was on too much money to even think about unless he came on a free. He also said Hugill was overpriced for the few goals he would get so not worth a gamble. Hugill played once for West Ham like Byrom. So for the right player he will break the wage structure
Morning ... Silva would be excellent, a progressive manager who is right for Leeds ... Big Mick a Big No No, he is a dinosaur stuck in a time warp, and at best will keep Leeds in mid-table Bartley not worth the risk, two serious knee injuries will be too much for him to deal with the rigours of the Championship Now, what should I say to Radz? please log in to view this image Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Morning all really don't understand the fuss over klich, bang average at best we need much better. As for manager I've no idea probably be someone out of the blue again. Really hope we get a statement from the club early next week regarding the plan going forward, last thing we need is a summer second guessing what's going to happen next season.
Morning all... Regarding a coach, is everyone forgetting any new guy needs to accept zero say on signings, he even has to work with a set piece coach employed by Orta and goodness knows what other restrictions. Klich is the same old story, we cry and shout for players not featuring to be given a chance, when they are played we soon realise why they were not featuring. If a new manager is appointed shortly and both Orta and PH are shown the door I’ll be happy, I’d still like to know who suggested we pay £500k to get PH it has to go down as an error on par as the Hockaday appointment.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a very wet Bardsey Of the names mentioned on your list Silva stated he was not interested so that rules him out MM is a dinosaur full of himself what about Wilder or Ranierie that would be some statement of intent Barkley quite frankly if he has this serous injury he could be out all next season which seem to suit us we seem to like to sign players who are injured paying 28k a week for 12 months is a total waste of money PH must go now he has been a disaster to big a club for him we must learn a lesson from this The club needs someone with character who is no afraid or intimidated by the pressure that it comes with so that rules out 95%
None of those errors even come close to paying 2m for Sakho or whatever it was. Idiots running the asylum
Hey Eire I have a great investment opportunity for you. Lets put money into The bank of Leeds, it works like investing in fine wines. So we fund buying players and just sit back with a cigar on and watch the players valuation rocket, then we sell and bank the profits .......... Oh wait
Good morning Matt Bartley looking a real risk signing now Silva or Bilic for me Use to collect them when I was a kid
Morning all. Still haven't renewed my ST and to be honest if I don't see some positive signs by the end of this month then maybe I will become a floater. That's what it might have come to, reduced to something that floats stubbornly to the surface of the water refusing to completely go away. Usually I would be in favour of stability and patience but Radz has had 2 opportunities for that with both Monk and TC. He failed to keep Monk even though there was an option of a further a year on his contract and TC wasn't given the quality of player required in the 3 key areas of striker, centre back and left back even though it was obvious to most fans we were short (literally) in those areas. So I now need to see Radz's next move because if he decides now is the time for stability then he's obviously badly mistaken. Just as he was when he handed out new contracts to nearly all the squad at the same time. How often do we see performance levels rise in players when they have the incentive of a new contract to earn and then a leveling off once the new deal is in the bag. One player currently out injured was sat near to me at the last home game with his feet draped over the seat in front and a couldn't be bothered look on his face. With a new 3/4 year deal signed it seemed like he would rather be somewhere else on his Saturday afternoon off. In fact dressed casually in jeans and trainers (as all the players who are not in the match day squad now do) it rather summed up to me why we have underperformed this season.
Good morning Nick Funny enough those who haven't seen Klich play live on the other forum all seem to rate him. I'm with you Nick he strikes me as bang average, love it if he returned & proved me wrong !
Good morning Jammy This fool has bought a season-ticket Agree with you entirely on Radz & our players. I dislike much of the current squad as their attitude absolutely stinks. Radz has made far too many wrong calls imo ! He is a businessman not a football man
