    If no evidence was found that looks like he misheard or made it up. Same as Holgate. Look how incensed our fans were at the 'made up' claim.

    The FA's "not proven" verdicts leave the door open for the accuser(Bong in this case)to still say the alleged racial remark was said, also the FA add something along the lines of "the accusation was made in good faith and was not malicious", how the **** do they know that for sure?
    It's like they say that to comfort the accuser, well what about a little bit of protection for the accused after the "not proven" verdict.
    If there is racism it should be rooted out of the game wherever possible but if false(not proven)allegations are made the should be a stock punishment for the accused(a fine maybe to cover the cost of the hearing)

    If they can’t prove it either way, then it’s one man’s word against another and they have to say it’s unproven, otherwise they’d be calling the accuser a liar without any proof.

    I see your point Tobes and I know the FA don't use UK law in the way they deal with cases of racism(betting, match fixing etc)but if somebody is accused of something(racism), and the person(player)making the allegation can't prove it(as in this case)surely the verdict should be "not guilty'
    The way it is now leaves the door open to a player present or future using the system in the knowledge they will walk away exonorated while the accused player will still have the "he might have said it" stigma attached to him, I'm not saying Bong or for arguments sake Holgate made malicious allegations, I'm saying a player should be "innocent" until or unless he or she is found guilty.
