Having watched the highlights last night I thought we were very UNLUCKY.White SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SENT OFF AND THEIR SECOND GOAL WAS A FLUKE, and Howson should have tracked back to tackle Scotland thats the second time he has failed to do this he did it when Southampton scored their first goal Hammond . Further more Howson will never make a captain he,s just not up to it. Finally I would like to see us go out and get Lichaj and Adam Barton from PNEthen we will see us go MOT
Yes we were unlucky but Grayson made the wrong call taking McCormack off. We were never going to keep them out just by sitting back & soaking up pressure for 40 minutes. Howson should have been sacrificed captain or no captain. He's too lightweight for a defensive rearguard action,& prior to the sending off had done nothing to justify his selection ahead of Nunez. We should have been 2 or 3 goals to the good by half time.McCormack was buzzing. Should have just played on with 10 men & carried on attacking instead of sending O'Brien on & leaving Keogh up front on his own. Piss poor decision by Grayson,not only in his tactical switch after the sending off but making Howson captain in the first place. A captain shouldn't be anonymous when the chips are down.
Totally agree, taking McCormack off was a huge mistake. Should have let him continue up front and then replaced with Nunez with 20 or so mins left to finish them off
McCormack is gonna prove his worth this year would be great to see him bang in 20 odd, but in keeping with the thread silly decision
as a fox it hurts me to say this but that sending off was a rubbish decision the striker was actively looking for the foul. like our game against forest the destination of the points was decided by the incompetence of an overpaid referee
We were very unlucky yesterday and so was Blackburn it sometimes happens but our luck will change these thingshave a way of balancing out
We are all aware just how bad our defence is, but I yet again wish to raise my concern over Howson, I just don't get what his role is, he doesn't do much throughout a game and except for the occassional bit of class (which I would expect at every game), his contribution to the Leeds team must be questioned. This wasn't just a bad game, this issue has been going on for sometime, so is he playing the wrong role or has he simply been promoted by Leeds fans who love the "local lad" thing, when the reality is he is at best very average in the Championship. Finally, he is NOT a captain, and it's time this was removed from him and his place in the team is only guaranteed when he puts in a 100% shift and plays to the required levels.
