Good Morning Everyone Another game - along landmark in our history books 20th defeat of the season No away wins in 2018 4 away losses on the bounce - last seen in 2014 under McDermott Surely it must be the worst record in the football league. Is Radrizzani waiting until the end of the season to put Heckingbottom out of his misery? Perhaps there is a clause in Heckingbottoms contract as to why Rad is waiting? It is interesting that yet again no Leeds player was available to speak to the press about the result; yet the club expects fans to fork out £500 plus on a new season ticket. It has been widely reported in in the YEP over the weekend that Leeds top target will be Kyle Bartley. Negotiations are already underway with Swansea about bringing the 26 yo central defender to Elland Road. Two questions: Why didn't the club do this last season? I think the fans made their felings perfectly clear. Second point: Are the club only doing this to appease the Leeds fans as they know he is a fans favourite? Who remembers Ideguchi? Unfortunately he isn't even making the bench anymore with Culture Club! Perhaps he is working in the kitchens?
To be honest, I don't think Bartley is going to be as good as he was last here. He's left, got injured and had few games as far as I know. If Swansea sell, it's cos of the injury or loss of form.
Morning all Some silly stories around today which I would love to come true. Vinnie Jones in an interview Saturday said Leeds should go out an buy Andy carrol and Peter Crouch. Both nearing the end of their contracts and both not being picked regular. Would love that!!! One story thats stupid and cant be true .....Can it? According to 2 newspapers Leeds fans are begging Radz to get Coleman. And the best story of the lot is that Leeds are talking to Swansea about KB. Fans summed up PH's management when he took off Alioski and brought on Grot
Does any Leeds owner care about the fans once they have your money ? Radz won't hoodwink 20,000+ this summer Our players don't care about the club let alone the fans, they are stealing their wages
Summed up yesterday by James Maclean at WBA. He said loads of players will be leaving WBA now they have been relegated, because they have to look after themselves
Probably to appease our fans A year too late.....Pontus will be gone so that Bartley/Jansson partnership won't be revived Didn't even try to sign Bartley as they knew it would cost so they went for the cheaper options. Now it has cost them as Radz expected a play-off place, some of us old timers knew that wasn't gonna happened from day one !
Good morning LL You may have a point there, we're good at signing injured players. Don't medicals exist anymore at LUFC? Bartley was never a premiership CB contrary to what Swansea's manager Paul Clement at that time thought !
Good morning Doc Modern day footballer thinking about their bank account All greed, no heart for your club That's the way football has gone thanks to the intervention of SKY
Good Morning Matt and co from a dull cold Bardsey I think the Barkley story is a result of poor season ticket sales we will probably end up with a freebie although I still feel OConnor can come up trumps Ashley Fletcher is on our radar he scores as many as Grot so no thank you lets get real Yiadom another freebie is mentioned why when we have Pearce who has still not been offered a contract what are they playing at As for Carol when has he not been injured so should fit well in at Leeds
Morning all. I'll clean up the absolute mess off a match day thread as soon as I get a couple of hours to myself. 1964 your request has been approved, check your mail
good morning Elland and all i'm on afters today and it's not my favourite shift. Bartley had a good season with us and on the back of it got a good deal from Swansea which i suspect he knew about before end of last season. he openly said how much respect he had for their chairman so we were never going to get him. saw him get turned a few weeks back and he had no pace to catch up.at best he is good enough for this league and would do a job for us once again. the jap lad can just do one as it's a joke and we should let him go. what i don't understand is that all of ortas younger overseas signings are still not stepping up.yet brits and irish lads are so what was the point of those signings.are they too soft to play and need time to get used to being tackled. if the players think i will be clapping them off on Sunday they are dreaming they are cack as a team. not even sure we will get a win and maybe will be better if we lose.something needs to be done but some idiot gave out lots of long contracts. the future is white but is not bright unless we get huge investement and buy some class.
yes agreed gave alioski the benefit but seen enough to realise he has no potential.Grots name says it all big useless wage thief.
Whilst Sky are partly to blame I think it is a wider problem that happened to coincide with the Sky money coming into to football. The pay issue verses players attitude seems to go across nearly all sports now, not just football. I think it is a generation thing rather than just a football issue. All youngsters seem to want everything now and not wait until they have earned it.
Morning all. Agree with all the above but a few questions spring to mind 1 We all know most if not all Orta/Rads signings were **** and given ridiculous contracts. However does Rad realise it? Im sure Orta wont admit it and is probably trying to convince Rad were only a couple of signings short of winning a Champions League 2 If they agree theyre all **** and decide to get rid, Rads already said well only have a squad of 20 next season to allow for improved wages. That means well have to offload the rubbish before making any signings. But who is going to take them or will we have to pay/subsidise to get rid? I suspect so and big time 3 Great faith being put by some in our new kids that have got a run out. Hope they are a roaring success but its way to early to judge and fans already heaping pressure on them which will test them too. Even BPF has really only played in mainly dead rubbers against lower half opposition mostly, same for O'Connor and Pearce Ill put my neck on the line here but if Heck is still in charge for first game of next season and the bulk of our signings are not experienced quality Championship ones, next season will be just as big a fiasco as this one. Time the man at the top grew a pair and move Orta to youth development or something and install big Mick or similar and give him full control re appointing players, coaches, style of play etc and making Leeds great again like it was years ago
Love to see the stats but I have a feeling that when Thomas introduced Nessy to the first team the wheels fell off. He was at fault for a lot and was even used in Midfield before recognised midfielders, he was used as a CB, was used when we got knocked out of the cup on Spit day. He was never on a winning team. I think his first introduction he did ok but was dire after that but always selected or on the bench and brought on. What/why did Thomas do that. Did it upset regular players and knock the team off course? Nessy is yet another injured player who may still be with us next season
