    In our terms... We have a conversation and this is how it goes:

    Saffy: Spurs won't win the league
    Spurlock: Will too
    Saffy: I bet you they don't
    Spurlock: Okay smart ass, how much
    Saffy: If Spurs win the league, I'll give you 12 grams of this white widow, but if Spurs don't win the league you just have to give me 1 gram of yours.
    Spurlock: I'm in for that bredda, let's put your 12 grams and my 1 gram in the pot and the winner takes it all.


    That is how it's done, but change grams of white widow to pounds.

    Absolutely no point in betting at this stage until we have seen who everyone has signed.
    Putting us at 12/1 is cool though, may stick a fiver on just for ****s and giggles.
    We seem to have this, "win the league one year, be **** the next" thing going on. So we are due another title next year <laugh>

    But if we are I think we should just field our entire youth academy.
    They always seem to win ****, yet never get a look in, will probably put more effort in than the first team anyhow.

    Traditional bookie stuff is you they offer odds on some
    event E happening. So for football, E is stuff like some
    team wins the PL / CL / domestic cups.

    Now the bookie firms have provided the platforms so you can

    1. ask for odds on E not happening

    2. find another punter who may make the wager with you if
    the bookie themselves are not interested

    3. concoct exotic betting plans akin to financial hedge funds

    Yeah we're moving in the right direction...

    Also Klopp's number 1 target (before VVD and Salah) joins as soon as the season starts.

    We need to keep what we have and buy a new GK, a CB and another creative midfielder, and also a back up for Frimino. Can't rely on Ings and Solanke ffs!!

    But we could also lose someone etc.

    Basically who knows until the transfer window shuts. I am pleased we've already done 1 piece of business with Keita though, looks perfect for the PL.
