My heart has just about removed itself from my throat, where it lodged when that last Bournemouth shot came in. I went from despair to delight in the blink of an eye, when McCarthy swung his right hand up to knock the ball to safety.
I’m not sure if the deflection made it easier, taking the pace off of it, or made it harder, by changing the course of the ball, but what a save.
Some very good performances which will hopefully be repeated over the final three games.

As I said yesterday, unless Huddersfield avoid defeat away to City or away to Chelsea, it's impossible for us to be relegated before the last day of the season.

So the only way it wouldn't come down to the last game in that instance would be if we win both our next two, and Swansea fail to beat Bmouth (such that we secure safety at Swansea). [Swansea and Huddersfield can then fight it out between them on the last day, possibly with West Ham too]

Whilst I still think the smart money is on us going down, I also think we'll be kicking off on the last day still not knowing for certain what league we will be in next season.

I can understand the setting in of fatigue when so many points have gone after being in similar positions at Arsenal and Home to Chelsea. The mental pressure takes a lot of physical effort out of you in such pressurised situations. I know these guys are fitter than the rest of us etc but from the TV pictures and comments on here it looked to me as though this campaign has finally got into their psyche. Better late than never. MH and his team are having an effect, that much is obvious and by the look and reaction of himself, he’s well into this situation. Ok a bonus might well come his way if we stay up but I sense this club and it’s support means something to him.

That Utd goal is a great example. Lukaku created the chance, all the credit should go to him. But the record books will give the assist to Sanchez, even though he had no intention of giving the ball to Pogba!

Come on. You survived the 90s when relegation fights were a given EVERY season. You can do this :D

Anyone behind us is in our own hands, though. Got to target Swansea with our six pointer, and Huddersfield and Brighton imo, as both those have absolute trainwreck fixtures remaining. Probably means they'll win them all...

Regardless of our own fate this would be so entertaining, if only for the spin Queen Brady would put on it. Oh, and the rioting of course.

However their fans have a touching confidence in our ability to be complete crap.

Screw that, thank you @@OddRiverOakWizards for this match thread. No one else even dare think about doing Everton.

You'd have to be nuts for it could put a spanner in the works. You could always bolt it onto an old one if that helped. It would give everyone something to torque about. The die might be cast but you could always tap into an old thread.

Charming as the thought of West Ham being relegated is, I'll take any 3 clubs that doesn't include us. Let's just enjoy the next few days of feeling good and pray that we win against Everton.
