well I can spot me in that photo - it did feel like there were more stewards than fans at that point.
cardiff were just a bunch of bully-boy journeymen winning by being physical and seizing their chance with our crap defence. The time wasting and niggling and faking injury just added insult to injury - Alan is the only one allowed to do the slow keeper routine at the KCOM. Credit to City for trying to play football and (mostly) not rising to the niggles. If Cardiff do go up they’ll come straight back down again - those tactics won’t work against better teams, and the “no contact” reffing will have them booked all over the place. Daws notes in today’s programme are a thinly disguised farewell, sad.
That was a bit $HIT wasn't it.... Because next season promises to be a whole lot more worse and with added financial commitments the cancellation letter has just gone in the post. I'm DONE.
Burnleh, Bournville, Watfud, Bournemuff, Brightun, Udders. Little clubs confidenty predicted by some City fans to be returning to where they belong in the past couple of seasons.
Did you see the match? It’s nothing to do with the size of the club but the way they play. Colin’s tactics work in the Championship because the only two half-decent teams have been Wolves and Fulham. Play like that in the PL and they’ll get hammered. Unless they had a wholesale clear out and built a new team over the summer with a new manager, they’d struggle massively.
That is what some fans said about the clubs I mentioned for different reasons. The question will be if Cardiff's owners wish to try the Burnley way of going up seeing what happens, accepting going back down and returning stronger or throwing money at it and hoping to stay up. Getting rid of the manager? What sort of club goes up to the PL and doesn't keep their manager?
Just felt very sad and flat the whole game. Maybe cos I remember previous last home games. Ref was terrible, Cardiff were very physical and we were lost without Larsen. Quite shocked so few stayed for the players lap. Personally I stayed out of respect to Myeler, Dawson and Mcgregor and the happier times they have shared with us. God only knows how much worse next season will be. Seems like Nigel is beginning to realise Ehab does not like to do business early with an ever decreasing budget.
Goes to show what cynical diving, play acting and manipulation of the referee gets you. You have to admire it in a gory way, I suppose.
No. Just saying that getting promoted to the PL and not making sure you keep the manager who got you there seems an odd thing to do and a recipe for chaos. Surely something no well run club would do?
Deano ripped into the Allam's in the lounge. He did it in a careful way but said that if we carry on in the same way we'll be fighting relegation season after season.
