The tactic is certainly wrong to keep crossing the ball to Gayle who is being marked by two 6'4" CBs. Either put it on the deck for him through the middle or put on Slimani who is a handful on crosses.
I don’t understand why we are so lethargic,. We are safe, but surely this is the situation where we can play without fear and show a bit of pizzaz. It’s criminal to let the season fizzle out like a damp squib. Show some fight please.
It’s all a bit flat at SJP or so the BBC sports reporter says. Why? We are at home in front of our fans and playing the worst side (allegedly) in the league. Why do we do this?
