welcome back cest we need more bruce hating fans who can tell it like it is. Too many people on here have bruce tinted glasses on
Cest nice to have you back mate. I think you touched on a good point earlier regarding the point as to wether the board would even be prepared to support Bruce with a big name signing. As I see it, hes treading on thin ice at the mo without a doubt and as such if any pre plans were in the early stages to replace him..would they even consider giving him the bloody funds to use anyway, when any potential new manager could use them
Welcome back Cest, now piss off, sorry it was you who was supposed to say that to me,old age brings confusion. You make many good points, spoilt for me by one bit and I will come back to that. I think that you, along with many others, miss the point with us BiB's, its not that we think everything is great, far from it, it two things to me. 1. Things are not as bad as many make out. 2. No matter what we think Bruce will be here for at least a month or two so going over and over about Bruce Out serves no purpose. Now this is just my view of things and its all I can give, my view, I just prefer to concentrate on the positives, just me and in no way saying you and others are not entitled to your views. Now the two bits that get me are the coco the clown, just words but sort of not needed to me, not a big thing but something that riles me. A bigger thing is the bit that shows how poor Brucie can never win. We have all been calling day after day for Bruce to get a striker, yes he should have done it a lot earlier and there we agree. However at last he seems to be trying hard but you say.. So before we sign a soul he is wrong, why not just wait and see, thats the unfair bit to me. Now you are a clever man Cest and will have answers to all but all I am saying, regardless of those answers is, its these things that ware me down and make my shoulders drop. I could give pages of my life, my reble days, my fighting days, never physical because for no logical reason I have always been very anti phyisical, and how for whatever reason I now look at the peacful route whenever I can. Abusing fellow fans is not on to me, and if anything I have said or done that you feel was abuse I am truly sorry about. Passion and love for our club will always bring opinions and win lose or draw we know managers, players, tactics and future prospects will always divide us. I have said before and say again I know I am usualy right but I am old and wise enough to know that I am usualy only right for me, its all I can ever speak for. A day of Sky ahead for me in the hope I will see some good football and hear some good news, Sunderland are not on so maybe I have a chance.
Welcome back Cest! Can I ask you a straight question? What would make you a happy Sunderland supporter? I ask the question because sometimes your opinions are so extreme that I wonder why you continue to support the Lads when it so obviously makes you so unhappy and angry.
Well I am a BoB, but being realistic we are probably stuck with him for a while yet. So lets see who is brought in between now and wednesday. If we do splash the cash and get some good/proven players in, I have no faith in SB to play them in their best position or to have the tactical nous or motivational ability to get the best out of the team. I would love to be proven wrong. I have said before there is nothing wrong with the players already brought in this window, in fact there is a lot right. Unfortunately I suspect we should have first brought in a LW/LB and a striker and now the coffers are rather light and so SB hoped that Sess and Gyan would provide goals. Well yet again he got it wrong and the pressure is on to pull a rabbit or two out of the hat. Syd thinks he might be able to do the magic trick, Cest does not..I am hoping he can but I expect he will not.
Too much homo-eroticism in this thread for me Gonna leave you to get on with your sickening little welcome back tea party
Yeah, you go back to the mag board where some the threads and posted comments on Cabaye aren't at all a bit queer.
Welcome back Cest me old chum! Great article and valid points raised, particularly the bit about a week or so ago, when the manager stated that he was happy with his squad, that it was well balanced (LMAO!) and that he believed that he wouldn't be making anymore signings and was happy to go into the season with what he had. If further proof were needed that fan pressure has made him have a rethink, then look no further than the interview that he gave Talksport Radio yesterday. He mentioned the fact that the "message boards" were going mad because of the poor start to the season and that "half of the fans want me out". http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/1027/80/bruce-hits-out-rumours-he-under-pressure At any other club, we would surely have heard something from the Chairman or owner by now. They would have come out with a statement of support for their under fire manager. The silence from Niall and Ellis is deafening.......
I so tempted to just post a recipe for spag bol, or chicken soup at this point but I have far more respect (on this forum) for you than to do that Syd. Your response deserves better than that. I think my first point has been made!!! I do use emotive terminology such as Coco the Clown, as it reinforces the subject matter I am discussing. Its my sense of humour and if it upsets some I cant help that, or indeed apologise for it. It could be argued, as with the farcical cup team selection, that Coco the Clown may well sue me for defamation of character but thats for another thread. Also is it not just possible, that as was the case in January, there is room for cynical thinking when we are all of a sudden in the clarts and promised a couple of strikers? Quinny and Bruce both promised a replacement(s) back in January and we all sort of agreed to see what happens. Now, with 4 or 5 days of the transfer window remaining, we are back in the hunt. They had no intention of buying or loaning anyone else IMO as they truly thought Sess and Gyan would deliver. They havent (we could have told them this of course 2 months ago) and now to save face and get the fans off their backs they are huddled together in the SOL boardroom, desperately searching for an answer. We will either bring in a Tore Andre Flo panic buy or be shafted good and proper by a club that knows we are caught by the short and curlies. A striker should have been priority number one in the summer. That it obviously wasn't shows a level of arrogance even I didn't think possible, or was it negligence? Neither is exactly a glowing tribute to the powers to be is it. Far form knowing all the answers (although I am a very clever bloke as you say), these are merely observations and opinions. We shall see how right or wrong they are by Wednesday Syd wont we?
Scatty - I would be happy to see some professional decisions made at the club on a consistent basis. Round pegs and square hole team selections; not selling our top striker and then choosing not to replace him (despite promising to do so at the time he was sold); be fed a crock of shot about certain players being good in certain positions when they are clearly not; not to have to listen to lame pathetic excuses used for 2 successive years of slumps and collapses (3 if you include the Wigan slump from Jan to April the season before he came to us); to advance through early cup rounds when playing inferior lower league opposition (note to self Steve: playing a striker will help this enormously); but above all, not to be constantly promised jam tomorrow FOR 37 YEARS and told to be patient EVERY SEASON and that my genuine concerns are merely a 'pathetic' response, to a team/performances I can see just aren't right. I'm not asking for the world, just consistency. Is that really too much to ask for Scatty? Really?
