The North Koreans have won, can no-one see this? They rattle their swords and the end result is them getting all sorts of perks.
Unfortunately, nuclear diplomacy is the currency used for leverage since the end of the Second World War. The west have used it to get their own way since then so we can hardy blame countries like N Korea and Iran for doing the same. Every side will find a way to spin this into it being them being the ones who brokered peace, which is no bad thing in my book.
Totally agree. I can't believe they're finding faults with him today. If Donald Trump found a cure for cancer, this lot would lambast him for not finding it sooner.
I think it highlights one of the reasons i don't take much notice of the media and avoid it for long periods. Here we are Trump now getting praise when the media have done nothing but belittle his presidency since being in power. I'm certainly no fan of Trumps, but it shows how much the propaganda machine has influence.
It's daft though. I didn't give a damn about Trump when he was elected but because of the leftie hatred, I've started to side with him. The same thing happened with Brexit. I don't really know or understand it but I felt remainers were constantly ramming it down your throat so as I've already admitted, I grabbed the 5 voting cards that went to my mams address and I sent them all off personally voting for Brexit. I wouldn't have bothered voting otherwise.
The influence of the media is for all to see, Blair and the Iraq war, the death of Diana and the public out pouring of grief. The anti Putin, anti Trump, anti Jong-un stuff, Brexit as you have highlighted, now more recently Alder Hey. I'm all for a free press, but a majority of the time it is used as a tool.
And this is why the left is taking a pasting, the world over. Its not so much as their message is wrong, its the way they are conveying it, or not conveying it, as the case may be. This fascist, abusive, frankly, utterly ****ish way of behaving has turned some people off. That was one of the factors in Brexit and in Trump getting elected. The idea that the whole of the US became racist bigots over night, after electing a black President in the last election, doesn't hold up I am afraid. The left have lost the ability to debate and to discuss and to convince others of their ideas, they simply prefer to insult, label and turn nasty....and people do not react well to that type of childishness, as we are finding out....a huge backlash is happening.

No one's won anything yet. Neither the North Koreans the South Koreans or Trump. All we've had are introductory talks on the border. The negotiations will almost certainly take years to complete by which time Trump could be long gone. As for the North Koreans position, all they've ever wanted was to be treated as equals and not pushed around. They've now got their long range nukes and are talking from a position of equanimity, in terms of potential destructive capability. You don't walk up to the negotiation table from a weak position. That's why they feel able to and are willing to talk now. They've already achieved what they wanted.
the enemy of your enemy is your friend. But it aint just that..... Celebrities, rockstars, TV personalities, used to be the rebels, THEY used to be the ones who said and did the outrageous ****. Now they are the conformists. It counts for politicians too. Trump is dirty as **** in terms of his personality, but he doesnt put himself across as whiter than white. What you see is what you get.....what I see is an egomaniac simpleton, but thats exactly as he acts and not being false goes a long way with a lot of people. Clinton was as fake as a womans hair weave, and people saw through it. This whole idea that we cant say this, and cant say that, because someone may get offended..... Who told these people that it was their god given right to go through life without being offended? People want to see an end to this culture, this cancer that is destroying the world as we know it, this false, PC, disingenuous bullshit that deludes people and removes them from reality.....and I guess people saw Trump as helping to put an end to it.

But Clinton was the sort of woman who, she could say "Good morning" to a person and she'd be lying. The Deomcrats should have followed the will of their electorate and put Bernie Sanders on the ticket, he was the President people wanted. I have no doubt that if the DNC had picked him as their candidate, he would have beaten Trump hands down. But no, the DNC took the bribes and backhanders, and insisted Clinton run for them.....and they completely misjudged public perception of her
