Over 16,000 already! Some good news on the takeover front and I think another 5-10,000 will be sold. As I was moved from from the North West upper we were invited to an open day at the black cats bar. Free teas and coffees a nice little walk out into the stadium to pick our new seats and then a free pie and pint to top it off. I've got a chart with the % of renewals etc and glad to see that the upper part of the south stand is pretty much full. Good to see as they bring the atmosphere. Anyone else renewed? If not what would it take for you to return?
The government giving me a 25% rise in my state pension would do it for me but in not holding my breath
20,000 plus season tickets in league 1 is ridiculous. Absolutely incredible fan base. Such a shame they've been served up **** for years.
As next season will be my first season living up north for 32 years, I will give serious consideration to purchasing a season ticket. Just need to get my bank manager (the missus) to agree, and that ain't going to be easy
16000 whilst still in the process of being relagated is ridiculous! Take into account there's been no event or upturn in fortune to spark it and its amazing base support. I predict us to have a higher average attendance than a certain club did pre 1992.....
They gave everyone a pack with Stadium chart on with seat availability and percentage chart was at the bottom with block by block information . Was shown a more detailed one too and it looks like most of the South, south West and south East have renewed.
I have four season tickets and I sit in the Fulwell End, in exactly the same place as I used to stand in Roker Park (as exactly as you can get . . . . I went to Roker to renew when we were changing and was able to choose, and I chose the same position (in front, and right in the middle, of the first barrier from the back) - it was a good guesstimate). The whole atmosphere has been spoiled by the idiot that decided to house the away fans above us, and we do get problems occasionally (from Skunks, Smoggies and Everton fans - not that we'll have any of that for a while ), but I'd hate to move from where I've been standing/sitting for decades. Quite a few of my match mates feel the same way, too, and we still sit, and whinge, together
Yes, I,ve renewed. South stand row 20 just inside the line for 6 yd box to the right of the goal. Got all the atmosphere but in front of the standing ones as nowadays I can't stand for prolonged periods.
North stand. Purely cos even when I didn't have a season ticket I would purchase a ticket their. Mainly as we kick that way 2nd half so get a bit of goalscoring action. Not that we have for a few seasons like.
Wow this is incredible to be fair, if true I’m not able to find any evidence to support. 16k before this disaster of a season has even ended would just reiterate the potential of the club and could genuinely suck in a buyer. I renewed, and was half expecting 1500 seats to myself frankly.
Can't see **** all about this. Chris Waters hasn't said a word either and he's the man with the number on ticket sales.
Got mine free... my dad has suffered some pretty bad **** last 12 months and qualifies for a disabled ticket. I’m his “helper” so get mine free. Although I’m paying for half of my dads!!!
West. South stand is for young psycho's, North stand (where I used to be) has been sh*te since they moved the away fans up above, and the East stand is for oxygen thieves and is like a library.
