At the risk of having the Board of Deputies brand me antisemitic, has anyone else heard about what's going on with Natalie Portman? She cancelled a scheduled appearance in Israel to Israel for later this year, speaking out against Netanyahu in the process while also using the phrase "I can be critical of the leadership in Israel without wanting to boycott the entire nation" - and this has led to at least one member of Netanyahu's Likud party to demand her Israeli citizenship be rescinded because she's not Israeli enough, because apparently her family moving to the US when she was four erases the fact she was born in Jerusalem and her father is Israeli.

Another day another mass shooting using an AR-15, this time at a waffle house in Tennessee that left four people dead and another four injured. Of course the NRA are going to be annoyed at how events went down, firstly because the shooter was not stopped by a Good Guy With A Gun™ but a fleeing customer who simply grabbed the gun out of the shooters' hands and hurled it out of reach, and secondly because the shooter happened to look like this

This guy's an absolute fruitcake, apparently. He was arrested after breaching a barrier at the White House, claiming that it was his right to inspect the grounds as a sovereign citizen. They're the morons that think that laws don't apply to them because of the Magna Carta or something equally stupid. He's had various run-ins with the police, had his guns confiscated and then returned and thought that he was being stalked. "Well, maybe he actually was being stalked?", I hear the overly generous of you say. That might be possible, but he thought that his stalker was Taylor Swift. He's genuinely crazy, possibly suicidal and he still got to keep his firearms. What could go wrong, eh?
