They are doing quite well actually.
They owe £142 million and it'l l be paid off in 6 years time.
They are also close to agreeing a £15 million pound a year deal with Chelsea to use the stadium.
They are paying off the debt quicker than originally expected.
I' pretty sure that staging Rugby Onion, NFL etc and the upcoming euro 2020 games have helped

They're not, their income has fallen off a cliff.

They signed people up on corporate deals eleven years ago, those deals were for ten year licences, once they expired, people either renewed with a 50% price reduction, or wouldn't renew at all.

    To be sold is OTT..
Khan has made an offer to buy it, doesn't mean to say the FA will agree. Khan will probably attempt to buy a franchise from the AFC / NFC and have a US football team playing on it from Sept to Jan...It ain't going to happen.

The issue with the lottery funding seems important
surely there would be strings attached so that assets can't be sold after they get public funding without the public money being repaid

He already has a Team !!
And I agree, why would you want to sell it when it' debt free and will make lots of money in 6 years ??
Mind you it wouldn't surprise me with the short term attitude that exists here.

My view is that Wembley is a fantastic stadium for fans with perfect views
we should keep it and not sell it
if people are not paying the excessive prices then the prices should be reduced

The lottery funding was a grant of £120m. Did money also come from the London Development Agency as well?

The FA think it’s a great deal.

I doubt it there are rules to prevent an owner from buying another team. i.e. one from each conference. The FA will probably insist on so many rules it wouldn't be worth pursuing, unless they're keen on the $$$$$$$$

Of course there is otherwise they could potentially meet in the Superbowl.

The Jags have long been tipped as the most likely franchise to be moved to London.

Personally think the the way the FA have prawned the stadium off to any Tom, Dick and Harry for a few quid is totally shamless.

They manage to destroy the mystique of Wembley.

I personally think it would be shamless if the FA sell our National Stadium off.

It isn't our national stadium. It is the FA's stadium.

Foreign investors own must British companies anyway it's only following suit.
Long termism isn't something that British business does well.
More quick buck and out attitude
