Lots of huff and puff, no one to put the ball in the net.If nothing else KJ must have seen enough today to realise this is it, he can`t make do and wait till January.

Like most of you guys i have seen this time and time again. Going into the second season thinking you can make do but end up struggling.

If you want to be a progressive club you have to bring in a few better players each season or you stagnate and then deteriorate.

Come on JK your a great manager.
If we really want to be a progressive club, Its time to prove it.

    Whats your thoughts guys?

The time to get the cheque book out was 2 months ago.

JB said KJ could have ALL the Morison money (2.6M) & the budgeted transfer kitty (1M) to strengthen the squad.

How much of that £3.6M has he spent so far?

    Players we could have got

    1) Puncheon
    2) Emnes
    3) Baldock
    4) Rhodes
    5) Le Fondre
    6) Kevin Phillips
    7) Austin
    8) Glen Murray
    9) Mackail-Smith

Every week we are seeing another one that got away - club needs to start showing some ambition and pay good money for good players!!

Hi TC I think JK was waiting to see if what we had could do the job, the stats show we have been creating enough chances in the games so far , just lacking the finish. Henderson seems to be more of a provider with some good layoffs just need someone to get on the end of them. Sure M&M will get better, but how long do you wait?

Got a feeling that watching McQuoid, Marquiss & Henderson this season will be like going back 5 years when we were relying on Harris and Alexander.
We desperately needed a 20 goal a season man - it took us 4 bloody years to get him, we get promoted, he pisses of to the Premiership, and here we are again.

I'm also worried that we might not be able to keep our better players till Wednesday - Robo,Trotter and Henry have all been targeted <yikes>

why are we waiting it was made clear that JB was happy for KJ to hit the market, we should have made sure KJ got who he wanted, it didnt take Reading long to decide Le Fondre was worth a go, KJ made it clear we need to strengthen we all know we need to strengthen, so whats the hold up,,,

if we have to run with what we have until Jan. we could be in shtook, the odd loanee might come in but they can be a risky business. We need to buy at least 2 and loan 2 to have any kind of strength in depth,,,,,

WHY THE **** IS KJ WAITING HAVNT WE LOST ENOUGH POINTS ALREADY <doh>

Don't get me wrong - we have a very good defense and midfield - we are only 1 goalscorer shy of being a top Championship team - Something KJ can fix this week.

    Delfonso from Villa
    Cox from West Brom
    Ebanks-Blake from Wolves
    Yakubu from Everton
    Josh McEachran from Chelsea

All not featuring for their clubs and would probably welcome game time with us on loan!!

i think we are more than just 1 player short. would make a good first 11 but we need to have 14 or 15 quality players. many teams are judged by how strong their bench is <ok>

Like your thinking TC but are they prepared to accept wages within our pay structure?

Agree mightywall , kenny keeps saying we dont have much options on the bench, and as a smaller squad thats a sign for a struggle if we dont continue to find the net. im not saying its doom and gloom as we have some quality players and im sure even now we have enough about us to avoid a relegation scrap , but we had oppotunities to bring in a high end goalscorer but as previously mentioned with the wenger mentality ,kenny seems to feel freebies or loans are the way forward instead of using our extensive cash on a renowned striker which i cant fathom out !!. think hes going to have to make a move and bring in at least 2 more players 1. striker 2. midfielder. 3. possibly another for the bench , read in the mirror yesterday hull want waghorn , and they'll loan out Jay Simpson to us , hope its not true as its a player whos failed to make an inpact there. seems he doesnt like spending money when its available to him. come on kenny splash a bit of cash !!

Sure their clubs will pay towards wages - game time for them is just as important to their clubs as it raises their profile (and value) Look at Puncheon and Townsend last season!!
Puncheon now a £1m player and Townsend playing in the Spurs team!!

Definitely need to spend, a decent striker if nothing else. I like Hendo but can't see him firing us to the play offs.
Seeing that Le Fondre went for only 350k to Reading shows how much talent you can get for such a modest fee, 50 goals in 2 seasons!
Need to show we mean business, its better to try and fail than not try at all, much better to gamble on a player with the funds we have!

No chance of these mate. All (minus Yakubu) have played for the first team recently and they're current firs team fringe, rather than reserve team fodder. Cox and McEachran played within the last week.
Would have thought the Yak would go to Leicester again (if they wanted him) if he were to go out on loan but everybody knows Everton have no strikers, so might not

Millwallroar Funny you should mention Jay Simpson, his name came up yesterday at the game, we get linked with so many players these days, didn`t pay much attention at first, but the guy said apparently Jay has done a Billy Bunter Paynter, so dought if hes fully fit!
Why do we sign/loan players and they end up straight on the sick list?:emoticon-0112-wonde
I think JK likes taking in wounded/damaged goods and nurturing them back to get the best from them. Only thing is i don`t think we have the time on our side to wait 4 - 6 weeks for someone to get to match fitness do you?

I think JK should throw away the book on how long to wait for the right player at the right price Arsene gave him.<laugh>

AW had years to sort out the defence.
He didn't do it, now everyone`s jumping ship.
It`s fine having a wage structure, but without flexibility you will be limited,
and if your limited you cannot compete with the big guys week in week out.
As long as every one's happy with your limitations fine.

Chatting to a p****d off Arsenal fan on holiday (S/T holder 35yrs)
Last year as S/T holder as cannot afford £1300 add on travel etc.. and justify it to her indoors
Seeing the fixtures he thought they would have a bad start and for all what Arsene has done he might be gone by September.
Mid table for Arsenal is not acceptable to the fans, but they are no longer a top four club in the PL.They will have to get used to it, if they don`t buy when they should.

That win in midweek might just have saved AW job for now, but for how long?
