I hope this may be helpful for any Barnsley fans travelling to Derby by road for the game on Sunday 6th May, parking is available for away fans on 2 sites [100 and 400 yards from the stadium] at £6 per car/van [sorry no coaches]. Assuming that most will travel via the M1, there are 2 main options, you can approach Derby via Jct28/A38 and risk possible delays and congestion going into and through the city or you could continue down the M1 to Jct25/A52 for a more direct route to Pride Park, on the A52 the PRIDE PARK slip road is about 1 mile past the SPONDON/ASDA exit but at the moment there are lane closures in this area, I still think that is the better route to the ground. Leave the A52 at the Pride Park slip road, take care as there is a pedestrian crossing and traffic light controlled roadworks immediately after the sharp bend. Go past the North end of the stadium to the 3rd island and turn right into RIVERSIDE ROAD, the FRENGER SYSTEMS car park is about 60 yards on the right hand side, this is handier for the elderly and less able fans. For those who may wish to eat/drink before the game, continue along Riverside Road to the last unit on the left hand side, the PRIDE VETERINARY CENTRE car park is handier for the away friendly hostelries, ask one of the attendants for details. If you use this car park I would advise you turn left when leaving and either go left round the block to head back towards the A52/M1 or left out of the car park and right at the island to go back through the city towards the A38. I hope this helps, if there are any roadworks changes etc I will post them, have a safe journey and don't forget that the kick-off is at the unearthly hour of 12.30pm.
