I have a similar 'split' view.... If we are not careful with our populism we could throw the baby out with the bathwater....
Poor kid, going to be a tough upbringing under the media spotlight. Mind you guess all the delicious trimmings that go with his position in society might be worth it.

Interesting point about swearing on the Bible. I did Jury Service in 1990 and 2005 and was surprised at how many more witnesses affirmed rather than swore an oath. That's not a scientific survey on my part obviously but I just found it quite telling about how times had changed in a relatively short time.
